Commercial Road Garage

Needed an MOT at short notice. This was on a Thursday and needed the car for Monday. After a mixture of no answer and no availability from other garages, I gave Commercial Road Garage a call and on the basis that I would leave the car with them for the rest of the day, they said they could fit it in. Sure enough I got a call later on saying that it had passed the MOT, having initially failed on headlight performance but the headlights had been polished and all was good. For relatively few portraits of the monarch, the car has a year's ticket and the headlights are better than they have ever been. I will definitely be a repeat customer and would not hesitate to recommend Commercial Road Garage.

Not a bad place, great for part worn tyres just no space to get your car in and out safely. Too many cars parked on gravel.

Underneath the gruff exterior beats the heart of a sound mechanic - this guy has saved my days a couple of times now, and is that most precious of things - a mechanic who doesn't try to bamboozle customers. Having moved to the area recently, and running a cheap, high-mileage old car to do my lengthy commutes to work, I was needful of a good garage, and in the Commercial Road garage, I have found a fantastic one. I would trust him with any job on my motor that he was willing to take on. Would strongly recommend.

You will struggle to find anywhere cheaper and better quality. I have used them numerous times, they are very upfront and honest with any issue you take to them and offer the best solutions. My car recently failed an MOT and I was quoted £1200 by a different garage to get it through the MOT, Commercial Road fixed the failures AND an advisory for £300, took it back to the same place for a re-test and it passed. Very trustworthy and reliable, they absolutely will not try to overcharge you.
