Walking into a builders merchant as a woman always comes with a sense of ‘how’s this going to go?’. Comments like “you probably don’t need that”, “did your boyfriend forget his sandwiches” or “is all this for your partner” are something you grow to get used to, though it never gets less annoying.None of this at Elliots though! Rob was really helpful, acted like I was any other customer and got me exactly what I needed by answering all my questions and not being even a tiny bit patronising. Good price for decent gear too. Someone give him a raise.Will get all my tools from here from now on.

Very friendly but most importantly I go there for the honest advice on tools. (for example is it worth the double in price for a trend pro router cutter vs a trend craft pro of the same profile)Slightly more expensive than others but I have saved a fortune by buying only the right tools rather than what I thought I needed (especially power tools). They deliver and order in as well.Highly recommended.
