Pennsylvania Castle Estate

We stayed in the Ope" lodge at Clifftops for 6 days over the Christmas break. Everything was just fantastic. We had everything we needed to cook our Christmas lunch.The team at Penn Estate do a great job

This was a business stay, and we had 5 nights here. I was in Half Moon and it was wonderful. Clean and immaculate, towels were fluffy, and toiletries were in full order. They even have bedroom slippers and bathrobe.We failed to use every single room in the property just because we had beautiful sunshine most of the days we're there. Everywhere is picturesque and not to mention the little walks to the beach below was great fun as well.Pool was amazing, warm and beautiful with marble pool floor. Kitchen had the best tools to whip up a good meal and the dining room is so instagramable.

This is the most fabulous wedding venue. The views and the atmosphere created by the events team were at just incredible.Our families stayed in the castle for the two days over the wedding, the castle amenities easily accommodated our bbq’s and brunches. The individuality of each of the rooms made us all feel wonderful throughout. The staff were delightful from booking the wedding right through to the clean up after.Incredible, thank you. X

I had the great pleasure of photographing a wedding here recently. The venue itself is simply stunning with everything being well maintained. The staff are really professional and they went above and beyond to look after me. I must make a special mention of the Wedding Planner on the day Tessa, who couldn't have been more helpful. I highly recommend Pennsylvania Castle Estate as a wedding venue.

Penn is such a unique and incredibly beautiful place and location for a wedding or an event. A little bit like the Minack Theatre in Cornwall, it is set on a cliff top and has the most spectacular views. It provides a location for an event to remember.Having done location shots for the venue, styled shoots and weddings there, we know it well. Many of the rooms are brand new, set in to the cliff face and provide your own little peaceful sea view haven. The reception rooms and patio are just beautiful, light and fresh.And the team are wonderful too. We love it and are happy to shoot there anyway. Now we just need to get invited as guests at a wedding there so that we can enjoy it all!

Beautiful outlook with patios giving good seaviews. Magnificent building in Portland stone. Wonderful dining areas & hotel facilities. A bit deserted location but that's the beauty. Being in the wedding industry, I know this is a premier venue.

My family and I had a truly memorable stay in the Ope Clifftops lodge. The building design serves up stunning views of the Jurassic coast from each room which we found under the changing day and night conditions to be really soothing. Inside the property the design favours open spaces and clever storage which again helps to completely relax minimising any clutter. There are a multitude of clever appliances and gadgets and we used them all! Normally, we wouldn't use everything but there is an iPad which has a really good mix of intuitive instructions alongside local recommendations and a bit about history. One great design feature is the underfloor heating which negates the need for any radiators within the main rooms plus always keeping our feet warm on a cold January. Just thinking of our 3 night stay reduces my stress levels and brings a smile to my face and I was happy to be able to share such a wonderful experience with my family. A couple of memorable experiences we were able to have was using the binoculars to spot Peregrine Falcons hunting near the cliff and watching the stars from the hot tub. We are already planning our next stay! Finally, all of the staff that we dealt could not have been more professional or accommodating. We would strongly recommend staying here for anyone who would like to visit the beautiful Jurassic Coast.
