A care home of excellence! The staff and management put their clients/ patients at the core of what they do - CARE. I highly recommend anyone who wants beloved ones to be cared with dignity and respect to get in touch with the home.

Absolutely dreadful communication. The phone is rarely answered which is understandable as staff are busy. The email address on their website is out of date and goes to junk which is slightly less understandable. If your loved one is approaching end of life be warned that they may be too busy to let you know. Sadly at these difficult times we are entirely dependent on information supplied by staff, being unable to visit those we love, so it is important to have faith that they would report to family any significant changes in health. They do not do this. The rooms I have seen have the beds orientated towards the door with the head to the window. Presumably this is to allow the staff to check on the inmates more easily. It does mean however, that it is impossible for those who are bed bound to even see the sky, let alone a tree, so whilst the exterior boasts a leafy pleasant oasis this is not something that many residents will benefit from.

Church Farm at Rusticus is a wonderful place that cared for our loved ones with dignity and respect. The Manager and her team are always welcoming and friendly, they have made certain that we could SKYPE call so we could see and chat with our loved ones and chat to our loved ones.Over Christmas we had videos and photos and cards from our loved one which was touching and has created wonderful new memories which we will be forever grateful and treasure. Also with the visitors cabin we could see that our loved one was happy, looking clean and smart - just how she always used to.We are always kept up-to-date with how they are doing, (good or bad) this helps us to know that we chose the perfect place for our loved one who appears to be flourishing with the wonderful care they receiving.

Care home from Hell! Please avoid this care home, we have had ongoing issues that have never been resolved for over year, we have now moved my mum.In a nutshell the care home is unsafe, my mum has had numerous unwitnessed falls, a swollen ankle, a bruised eye, bruises to her head. When questioned further the answers where always we don’t know. There is a high turnover of staff, and the staff they do have are mainly agency. They lack the appropriate training and tools to deal with the residents at church farm. On one occasion an agency career thought it was appropriate to put rubber gloves on my mum because she had long nails and on another occasion an agency carer used his legs to block my mum in.The staff are unprofessional, we have been told that if my mum behaves then she will be allowed to have her hair dyed. When there have been altercations between my mum and other residents we’ve had the comment they behave like kids thrown at us.I heard a carer from a bedroom shouting at a resident , calling him lazy and screaming at him to get ready. This was passed onto a manager , the response was they couldn’t pin point the carer, this carer is still working at the care home.Mum has been presented to us in other residents clothing despite us telling them these clothes are not hers. She’s been dressed inappropriately for the seasons. She has gone several days without having a bath/ shower and even not having her teeth brushed. She now has gum disease. This care home looks amazing from the outside but I can assure you they can’t even provide the basics, Communication is none existence and residents attack each other on a regular basis. All of the issues have been referred to safeguarding and CQC as something needs to be done about this establishment.

I had an absolutely dreadful time with management. They swept all my complaints under the carpet . I felt ostracised and bullied by seniors and management who swept issues under the carpetI was so very depressed during my stay there. On reading the reviews I see that some of them have been written by carers who did nothing but complain to me about their working conditions and lack of support from management. This is whilst I was residing there and situationally depressed.Rusticuss do everything in their power not to deal with or document complaints. If your loved one is suffering from dementia (in particular)please don't send them here as they may not be able to relay to you if they're unhappy with the service.I was there for ten months and extremely unhappy and felt alone for at least 9 months. I had raised many complaints that were not dealt with in any way shape or formManagement wanted me to stay quiet but I'm afraid I won't do that.My poor treatment by senior staff and management will affect me for the rest of my life .It has now been 6months since leaving the care home complaintshave still not been resolvedPlease do not choose this appalling establishment for your loved.onesFinally received my results of my many complaints and it seems that complaining about the utterly disgusting treatment has all been a complete waste of time and much added anguish .I feel that there is nowhere to go because they stick together and support each other through the liesI even contacted my social worker and cqc at the time I was being abused .However it seems that this was dismissed as supporting evidence.

I have working in one of the homes at Church House for 5 months now and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working here. The management and staff are very professional and genuinely care about the residents (family members) and Co-employees.Really proud to be a member of the team delivering professional and compassionate services.
