Very friendly locals in the barKeith and Robin .Two great characters.Good beer cheap prices £2.40 for lager . Would recommend a visit . Local scenery hills etc stunning

Walked in to a very rude man shout at me as I walk in we got no beer and cider!? If that's the service you get in he's right wouldn't waste your money

Booked a room for a night. No food at night went to another pub. Had to navigate the bar to get to the room. Breakfast was a no go we were never given a time for service by 8am we were still locked in the upstairs wing others had already left via the emergency exit. We decided to leave before the free breakfast as we had to get on the road. We were still locked in so also left by the emergency door. All fire doors were wedged open. Bed adequate. Could not get TV to function. Bathroom sink taps sprayed water at force and turning them off was difficult. Toilet seat is one that slides while sitting. Shower was Mouldy needs Treatment to clear it up. Only 2 stars because the beer was cold and at a reasonable price. The owners need to think about the rate charged this is only a 20 pound offering. Be desperate for a bed before you stay here.

Update : The Queens now has a new owner. Mar 2019.Dirty, mould on the walls, one bathroom /toilet, without working light, to serve several rooms. None of the usual amenities such as towels or hot drinks in the room. Carpet stained and dirty. If only I'd read the reviews before booking. Couldn't bring get myself to stay the night and left within an hour.

A very cheap room It was around £20First impressions of the place it looks dated and when entering the pub you can see it’s a locals only as you get funny looks, it seems that the rooms are not regular rented out even though the bedsheets were changed the carpets were dirty and there was rubbish under the bed and on the wardrobe from the previous occupants, the bathrooms wouldn’t go a miss with a lick of paint and the shower is massively underpowered.we came in a group and it was so bad that one member drove home that evening as he didn’t want to stay in this hotel.However we did come back at the early hours of the morning and the landlord waited up for us which was a nice touch.This leads me on to the nights sleep being on the top floor the room number 7 had a very strong smell of marijuana and even with our doors closed and windows open we could all still smell the Jamaican herb it seemed to put us all in a deep sleep. The next morning we were all very hungry ( must have been the munchies) and the cleaner/ cook made us breakfast and tbh it wasn’t quality meats but what do expect for £20 a nightApart from the cleanliness and the possible marijuana grow next door it was alright for £20but I wouldn’t come back

Popped in for a quick Guinness. Brilliant and friendly staff and locals.
