Castle Green Hotel - managed by Legacy Hotels and Resorts

This is a mixed review the hotel the staff were friendly but the restaurant experience for dinner was best described as very disappointing. It takes a lot for us to complain but this time yes. Restaurant full for dinner told what we could and could not eat. 30 min wait for food then like buses 2 courses arrive together people waiting to order but it seemed more important to set tables up for breakfast and it took 3 members of staff to complete this taskThe food was very good however the service tarnished the evening the following 2 nights we ate in another local hotel the service was perfect

A favourite of ours for over 20 years, Lovely warm welcome from Heather on reception, a superb meal in Alexanders restaurant. We stayed in a beautiful executive sute. All staff go the extra mile this is what makes the hotel so unique. Thank you everyone we will be back soon.

Lovely hotel with great amenities. Excellent staff were very friendly. Lovely grounds.Pool,steam room and gym were great and very clean.Breakfast was brilliant.Unfortunately bar and meals are expensive so ate and drank out.

Lovely break at castle green hotel. Room was well presented, very clean. Comfortable bed and nice pillows. Great shower. Breakfast was great with lots of choice in a lovely setting. Walked in to Kendal lot's of shops and pubs. Loved our weekend break and we will definitely return.

Really nice place, a little pricey.Staff are really nice and helpful. Marked down on service because they were bust at breakfast and didn't have enough staff on to cope.Breakfast was nice though

Thoroughly enjoyed recent weekend stay.Great hotel, modern clean comfortable room, great location for visiting surrounding areas in The Lakes, lovely friendly staff, great breakfast, great evening meal, loads of parking spaces.Brilliant!

Was a last minute stay due to the snow on Saturday, but close enough for our original destination. Had the breakfast included and it was excellent-- hot and what we ordered. Servers were good.Got mixed info on Sat evening meal, as didn't want restaurant but wanted soup. Finally, got the 2nd server to confirm with chef that we could have soup in the bar area. It was good and hot and perfect for the snowy weather outside. Rooms were comfortable and nice firm mattress.

A lovely located hotel, approximately 6 minutes away from Kendal. There are 3 separate car parks, so if you have mobility issues, try and park in the upper section (there are around 15 or so parking bays). There are a few disabled only bays. We had a little wait to check into our room, which wasn't a hardship, as there are lovely seating areas and the bar! Our room was very well presented. I enjoyed the sole use of the swimming pool, which was lovely. Very pleasant and attentive staff.

Good place to crash if you want to visit local surrounding towns. Decent enough hotel. I never used the spa, gym, or pool, so I can't comment. Rooms are Premier Inn quality, so it's just a bit better than basic. Clean room. Decent space (king). Pillows are not hotel fluffy pillows they are a hundred sleeps flat, so they are not crazy about that. Breakfast was included with our stay, so we had a buffet breakfast. All the staff are super nice and very helpful. Decent parking.
