Birmingham North Barons Court Hotel

The room, location, and service were disappointing. If you're prone to claustrophobia, this place isn't for you. I reserved it for two nights but chose to cancel the second one after an unsatisfactory stay, expecting a refund as advised. However, five months on, I've yet to see that refund. Every time I call, I'm informed that the head office has rejected my request and no reason is given neither provided any contact details for head office.

Cheap for a reason.Bathroom door had been kicked in, and the bath was chipped, the towel rail also would not turn off so bathroom was always hotTo add to that the TV kept losing signal so was useless.The bed was clean and comfortable which I suppose is the main thing.Wouldn't chose to stay there again.

Booked for 1 night, the outside of the hotel is not brilliant a bit run down, but our room was tidy and clean. The bar area was bright, only bottled beer, no draft on at the time.The shower was lovely and powerful fluffy towels, too.All in all, a nice stay. Full of contractors and salesmen on the night but not a problem.Reception staff were really great.

Walls are very thing so you can hear EVERYTHING, beds were alright, walls need a bit of a clean, service was nice though, looks a bit run down but other than that it's alright

I wish I had looked into this a bit more before booking, but we needed something in a rush. The reception staff were really nice and helpful contrary to a lot of other reviews on here. However the hotel was really run down, there was a hole in our bathroom door and really shoddy repairs and run down decor. Also the walls are really thin so could basically hear next doors conversation when we had our telly off. The room was boiling hot and we couldn't turn the heating down so needed to ask for a fan. Also when we arrived they added on a hidden fee of £20 per dog and we had 2, so ended up spending £100 for a night in a pretty awful hotel. Wouldn't stay here again.

Well we're do I start the place looks good online as hotel photo is nice. But when u get the u realise the photo online is any old photo and not the true imagine of the place as it is very run down. When enter the place the staff were nice we were giving room keys. When entering the room I realised that my room walls were very dirty and needed a good clean. The bed wasn't that bad. TV remote hardly worked.. The walls are very thin and u can hear everything. The hotel as been rook over by legal immigration which brings the place down even more. For location it's not to bad if u drive as they plenty of nice pubs around Walsall way. Would I stay again I think not

Room was okay, but from upstairs if someone walk or talk you can hear them straightway. Creaking sound of floor board from top floor really headache, and bad luck someone broke in my work van and took all the expensive tools. I would say this place isn’t for trade people

The staff we met tried hard to please and assist. Hotel was booked for me. Will not be coming back. No evening meal. Not even any glasses for drinks at the bar. Somebody else needed to take tablets and couldn't even get a glass of water. Continental breakfast was a yoghurt, a couple of single packs of cheese and brown or white bread.... Full English was tasty but not alot of it. Very tired hotel but the room was clean and the shower was strong.

Nice place to stay to stay. A little date and in need of a bit of tlc to tidy it up.Place was clean enough and friendly atmosphere.Staff pleasant and helpful with plenty of parking.Bar was a bit over priced but didn't stop me buying a drink to wind down.Would stay here again without hesitation.
