I visited Ashworths under the new management. I had a great experience. The optician was very thorough, caring and determined to get to the best solution for me. My old glasses were mended and new glasses ordered. The help with choosing and the care in making sure I had the right frame and fit was also meticulous.The review of four is only because unlike previously I had to pay in full before receipt and because until I have the glasses I reserve my full judgement.

This is the first time I got my glasses from here as it was difficult to travel to spec savers during covid 19. Had all sort of problems, the glasses weren’t good, the lense didn’t fit in the frame, the frame, bought from them, broke when they were fixing the lense and at one point was told they had no record of my payment!! Thank God I had my statement to show them! And now the lense has fallen out again! I thought to let things go, but enough is enough!

As well as providing excellent service over many years, Ian has offered exceptional help in times of crises. He dealt promptly with an emergency situation affecting my husband's eyesight, and did the same for me, resulting in treatment at the hospital which saved a recent partial corneal implant. Many thanks.

Highly recommended for a great personal service. I needed emergency eye care and they were excellent and reassuring across several visits. After such a positive experience, I moved opticians and haven’t regretted it and have since had a test and purchased new glasses and replacement lenses in older frames. Strong recommend.

A very good experience, not rushed and took time as I have issues with mobility at present. Took time to explain everything they were doing and not pushed into having something I did not want. Also given cup of coffee.
