Don't hate it just never used Hirebase

Hired a mini digger from this company and was told the price for 24 hours was £115. Had to leave a £500 deposit. I was told the digger would be delivered at lunch time only for it to be delivered at 3pm. The digger we hired had an issue with the fuel line and kept cutting out which obviously slowed down progress. The digger was collected at 1pm the next day. A week later when I hadn’t received the deposit back I rang twice to chase up only to be told the only person to deal was very busy as they are understaffed. Eventually received a phone call from Barry who had upped the price of the hire and made out he was doing me a huge favour coming in on his day off to refund me. He denied any girl worked on his desk (even though I described her and clearly someone had taken my money). He agreed to refund for the higher price and credit note for the disputed amount. The credit note will be of little or no use as I won’t be using this company again!
