Expensive student hostel. Generally, York is not a place to rent. Mortgage is low but rents skyrocket to explore students population. Not fair at all!

I am going to make a very fair comment here - from my perspective. (prons and Corns)I give 5 stars because this is a lovely accommodation to live in. The reception staff are all great. They are lovely people and very helpful. Fiona is a super nice girl and Juvan is a super cool guy.The place is located in the centre of everywhere. 20 min walk to the university, 20-25 min walk to the city centre, some buses opposite the accommodation, and a big Aldi supermarket only 5 min away by walking. There is also a small Sainsbury only 1 min away by walking. Lyosse pharmacy is also 30 sec away by walking. It is also a quite safe place - next to the police station.The whole environment in FH is super nice. As the first bunch of residents, all the facilities are quite new. Even though sometimes some facilities are very fragile and easily got broken.However, several things I have to give a NEGATIVE comment:1. the facilities are delicate, and the wall is of very low quality.2. be careful and not to put anything on the wall.... the manager called April xxx"

This is well located within walking distance directly over Walmgate Stray to Univ of York west campus (15 mins). Also ideal for cycling off road to campus or down Alma Terrace to riverside route into the city centre. Note only limited (disabled) on site car parking and surrounding streets are now a residents parking zone (only residents in houses eligible to apply for permits) Sainsbury's Local opposite, or Aldi/ Iceland 5 mins walk away.
