Great little hotel, right in the centre of the village. Obviously very popular with locals as well as tourists. The room had a great view over the church. Would definitely stay again.

Just called in here for something to eat after the chippy had shut at 8pm. Found a table an ordered at the bar. They had a normal menu and a pizza menu. The ladies behind the bar were great and show genuine interest. The pizzas came quick and were delicious! I only give 5 stars to somewhere where I want to go back tomorrow. This got 5 stars. Good prices, great food and the rattler cider was excellent.

Mine is their lack of communication with me when I had questions about their hotel. We’re planning a trip to Cornwall in 5 months and we saw this hotel online and it seemed to tick all our boxes as it’s centrally located and I’m assuming near other pubs and restaurants. When I put in the dates we would like to stay it said it was not available so I emailed the hotel to see if that was written in stone or if something could be done to accommodate us. (it never hurts to ask). But first, I wanted to make sure this line of communication was actually open with somebody actually on the other end, so I sent them an initial email asking if somebody was there, because I would soon follow up with questions. The next day I got a reply from Emma so then I emailed again and asked about the dates. I also asked specifics like if there was free parking available at the hotel, if their rooms were non-smoking, had televisions and bathrooms and if there were places to eat within walking distance.I did not get a reply so I had to send another follow up email. And they simply replied the next day saying they only have 6 rooms, so if their website platform said the dates weren’t available, then that seemed to be the final word, but they did say for me to be specific about the dates and they would check into it and asked what specific dates were we looking for. They totally disregarded all my other questions.I sent them another email telling them the dates and I reminded them that I would still like my other questions answered, because that would be a deciding factor of choosing their hotel. It’s been a couple of days and I still have not gotten a response. I guess they’re not interested in our business. I understand that with so few rooms, especially in the month of June, they have plenty of business, so they don’t need ours, but it’s still not professional or customer friendly to not reply at all. I’ve never been fond of being ignored! So I’m looking elsewhere as they’ve already answered my question about being customer friendly. If that’s how they treat potential guests then I’m not interested

Only went into the bar for food on a wet day. Great menu choices, we had mussels in a charred pepper and Tomatoe sauce with crusty bread. Good sized portions of the freshest large mussels we've had. Very, very tasty. Good choice of drinks menu served by polite friendly staff in a great little Cornish village, worth a visit, food served all day.

Whilst visiting my daughter in Cornwall, I had a lovely stay at the St Agnes hotel. My room overlooking the church was very spacious and comfortable bearing in mind this is a 3 star hotel. We ate in the hotel on both evenings and were very pleased with the food and service, all reasonably priced too. The staff were all first class, friendly and helpful. The only thing I should point out is that a lot of people sit outside to drink and talk so you do get some noise from the street if your in a front facing room until the bar shuts.

The room was beautifully appointed and the bed was very comfortable with quality linen to boot. Had dinner here too and it was excellent. And even though there was a power outage, the beers were still flowing. Had to wait a little longer for our food naturally but that just gave us more time in the cozy front bar chatting to the locals. Breakfast was excellent too. All in all, we were very happy to have stumbled upon this fabulous hotel and wished we had stayed here for two nights.

Loved it. I stayed a night here and it was great. It’s a bit loud because it’s above one of the only pubs in town but it’s really nice and endearing. They also give a fan in the room which can help with noise if you want to block it out. There is free breakfast in the pub in the mornings and they have a nice menu. We enjoyed the breakfast! We also tried the sticky toffee pudding and cider from the pub and that was lovely.A bus stop is right outside so it’s really accessible to other parts of Cornwall. Really lovely time. Thank you x
