A group of six of us decided to book here for our Xmas get together, we booked well in advance and had to pre order from the Xmas menu, we had all ordered the 2 courses, the table was booked for 7pm, our main meal was served at 8.15pm ! Bearing in mind it had been pre ordered, one plate had no potatoes, so asked for some this took a further 10 mins to arrive, once finished it took about half hour to remove plates, well four of them, two were left, asked if wanted to order dessert again we said we had pre ordered, it then took another hour for them to arrive, no spoons, waitress said she would go get some still waiting 10 mins later we decided to use some forks that were on the table, so imagine trying to eat ice cream with them, she then arrived has we were finishing eating the desserts with some spoons and promptly took them back saying they were short of spoons. The service was a joke, it wasn't busy plenty of empty tables, so don't know what the excuse was, by the way we weren't the only table that was kept waiting, so with that I can honestly say we will not return.

This aThisfternoon I had afternoon tea with friends. I was a bit unsure what to expect as I can't eat dairy but having let them know in advance they didn't disappoint.Sandwiches were full size ones, not tint crustless squares as is often the case and the fillings were also different, being tasty bacon and peppers and also roasted Mediterranean veg. My dessert was lovely little chocolate tarts and my favourite was the dairy free cheesecake! It was delicious. Highly recommended.

Had an afternoon Tea using a Buy a Gift voucher it was nice, but no savoury like sausage roll, pork pie or quiche. The sandwiches were cheese&pickle or cheese & onion I expected maybe a ham or cucumber. The Cheesecake was Lovely and was very Tasty. We had two pots of Tea which were nice. While I was there a couple had Burger and chips which looked Amazing.

Wednesday evening visit and a few tables making an ok atmosphere. Quite a big dining area with a bar area for just drinks. Was cosy enough although it could have done with being a bit warmer. Had the Last Inn Ale which was quite good then ordered the risotto and chicken. Took a while to come but was worth the wait. Very nicely cooked and tasty with green beans. Good portion size but a price tag of £15.50. Not exactly value for money for some rice and chicken, but then again, what is?Spent about an hour in the venue. Although service was efficient it was standard. Could have done with a little more atmosphere, music, log fire, tv screen or something.I would visit again as it sounds like the Sunday dinner is an epic.Plenty of parking across the road. Clean restaurant with a contemporary feel. A Cross between Old style pub and modern restaurant. Still had a wonky table which made for 5 minutes of entertainment trying to balance it up.

My first time visiting and on a Sunday. The large roast was delicious with an added Yorkshire pudding. My partner had the half roast chicken and she said it was perfect. Excellent service, food came out fast. Lovely view of the Wrekin from the garden. We will definitley be coming back..

Really wanted to like this meal as have been meaning to go here for ages. Value for money poor - Rump kebab was really small, would have been better with a steak. Mixed seafood board again was poor for £26. Forgot the crusty bread and when we reminded the manager we were bought out some burnt bread. The waitress noticed the smell and came over to apologise. The manager only mentioned it when we went to pay. Poor and very unlikely to return.

Dreadful experience. Very long wait for meal to arrive and disappointing when it finally turned up. One and a half hour wait for this pink slop which is called Eton mess apparently,

Our visit to this place was very disappointing. The main meal was ok, but the wait for the dessert menu was excessively long. Which should have been a warning sign. After ordering, waiting, having to reorder, waiting, reminding them, waiting, then finally it arriving. It wasn't worth the wait. The Eton Mess, part of the shared dessert platter, looked more like a pink splat on a board and not very appetising. I don't think we will be rushing back there anytime soon.

Sparce food. The two peices of cauliflower was their idea of cauliflower cheese. Two peices of carrots, chewy meat. Waited nearly an hour for the food, not even worth the wait! Staff never asked if everything was okay or even asked if we wanted a sweet. Won't be coming back.
