The Onich Hotel

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room itself could do with a refurbishment but it was very clean and smelled lovely. The food was excellent after long days of hiking and the staff were so sweet, especially to my two dogs. The location truly can't be beat, be sure to book a lake view room and just marvel at the sight every morning.

Dated room not very pleasant to stay despite good views and fabulous setting however lovely staff very accommodating. Hotel stay could be a lot better even if it was cleaned properly which in my view can be achieved at a very low cost. Hotelier needs to know people won't pay good money to stay in a dirty and smelly room. It's a lovely setting so try and make most of it if you are lucky enough to have a hotel in such a beautiful place.

Good enough rooms, the owner must know that this building needs some attention. Extremely nice and helpful staff, manager very attentive AND kind...I was rather grumpy on arrival, but left with a firm handshake and a heartfelt thank you. I hope the owner realises he has a good team working there...Treasure them.

We stayed here in one of the pods by the loch. We enjoyed our stay. We fit two kids and two adults in the pod with carryon luggage. Sitting on the deck and enjoying the view with a cup of tea while the kids ran on the beach and collected shells is a great memory. The steak pie was delicious and my daughter swears the fish and chips were the best the whole trip. The Scottish music at dinner was great too allbeit a bit loud. But I loved it.

We only stayed there for diner (not the hotel).Poor service. Had to get to the bar to ask the menu….then again to ask the drink menu…all this to receive our meals 1hr later (for real) and without the drinks, who were apparently forgotten. No excuses provided….Apart from that food was rather good. The lamb was really tasty.

We stayed in the newer pods. They are lovely and perfectly proportioned for two. Beautiful views over the loch. The staff were welcoming and friendly, not sure what some of the other reviews mean!!The food was pretty standard Scottish fare-quite tasty and large portions. Good value for money too. Especially liked the eggs at breakfast!A few little notes-in the future we'd probably choose to stay in the older beach pods. The new ones are adjacent to the road and shake with lorries going by. It didn't disrupt our sleep, but does dispel the opportunity to really feel amidst nature. Additionally, the blue LED lights on the new beach pods were harsh and quite unpleasant for sleeping, even with the shades pulled down.

A fuir!Quand on est entré dans la chambre une odeur bizarre y régnait. Nous avons ouvert les fenêtres pour aérer, au risque que celles-ci tombent car le système de fermeture était défaillant. Tapis sales et murs défraîchis. Au moment de se coucher nous avons découvert que l'odeur provenait de matelas et qu'il s'agissait d'une odeur de vomi. On a donc dormi la tête aux pieds et la fenêtre ouverte car il n'y avait plus personne à la réception.Le lendemain nous avons appelé le manager pour lui faire part du problème ; il a eu une attitude très hautaine et beaucoup de peine à admettre le problème. Il n'a proposé aucun dédommagement.Le repas du soir était médiocre et le personnel sans égards pour le service.Quand au petit déjeuner ils ont sorti du pain tranché de gros emballages plastiques. Les œufs au plat présentés pêle-mêle étaient froids et plein de gras. Et le reste du buffet ne valait guère mieux. Personnel toujours aussi hautain et antipathique.Il n'y a vraiment que la vue qui valait la peine, mais aucun sentier au bord du lac pour faire une petite balade.

Had another accommodation fall through last minute - we came to The Onich Hotel and they were able to give us a room. They have a well lit parking lot, a restaurant on site with a fun games room and bar. We had a Loch View Room. The room had good heat, a nice shower and a great view. They’re price was great, the on-site restaurant was great and the buffet breakfast was amazing. All in all top tier service and a wonderful location. Highly recommend!!!

This was a very happy surprise! We found room here last-minute and it worked out really well for us. We managed to get a pod" outside and the experience was wonderful. If it hadn't trained hard all night

The price was right, the location was right, the bed was comfortable, it was clean, the restaurant was nice. Nice food was great. The breakfast was good. The only bad thing is there's no lift, so you must carry all your bags up to your room.The yurts looked fun. I think next time, I would like to stay there. Write out by the water with a great view.
