Oldfield House - Runwood Homes Senior Living | Residential Dementia Care Homes Doncaster

I have been at Oldfield now for almost a year. I love the home, staff, residents and families. I couldn’t imagine working anywhere else. We really are just one big family.

Oldfield is a genuinely caring home. Every member of staff within the home does there level best to support each resident on a daily basis, links within the community are always encouraged and time with family members is available as often as possible.

My dad spent just over a year in Oldfield house, the staff there are very caring and understanding, they do the best they can in all circumstances, my dad passed away last week whilst in their care, the carers and the domestic staff really could not have treated him any better, they made him as comfortable as possible and never once faltered where his dignity was concerned, they were also there every 10 minutes or so making sure I and anyone else with me was ok making cups of tea and also making sure we were ok, the staff went above and behond and I appreciated every moment they were there, I was told that I could empty my dads room at my own leisure, I went in the next day to pick up some items and were then told that they were very sorry but had office had told the home that my dads was a paying resident and therefore if I left the room with my dads things in it then we would have to pay, , not once did head office express any sympathy or said they were sorry about my loss, which really left me with a bitter sweet taste in my mouth. And I thought it was very unprofessional of Brad office and just went to shore that they just treated it purely as a business,. I would definitely recommend Oldfield , but would say I’m disappointed to say the least with head office, thank you to all the staff at the home I really appreciate what you all did for my dad.

I've worked at Oldfield House for 4 months now. Staff are friendly, approachable, knowledgeable, and nothing to much trouble.There are activities and trips happening.Oldfield House is like one big family.
