Nice cosy restaurant, however the food portions were pretty small. I had the ravioli which you could pick as a main or starter but as a main I only got 6 pieces of pasta. Was still pretty hungry so ordered the tiramasu which again was a small sliver. When asked how my meal was I explained I wish there had been more of it, and the waitor said back in the day there would have been more but with the cost of living they've cut portions. I wasn't offered any additional food despite my feedback. It cost two of us 70 pounds for the night with a bottle of wine so not cheap either.

I’m afraid I was not impressed. The staff were pleasant. We were a large group of 20 and preordered the food. So the chef was not rushed…. What I got was overcooked prawns and poorly flavoured pasta. The pizzas were awful. The wine was good but expensive. The tiramisu was good enough!I am unable to recommend this restaurant based on this experience.

We went here for a Birthday and the food was amazing. We sat in the inner dining room, which is a bit dull, but was lovely and private. Five star lasagne and pasta dishes. We had Tiramisu, cheese cake and the creme brule was great. The profiteroles looked amazing but was very dry.

The food was good. Most of the staff were nice and professional. One waitress started out being exceptionally rude. We wanted to order some garlic pizza bread while we decided on the menu and she very, very rudely said she couldn’t take a partial order. This is fine, if not unusual, but it’s possible to be more polite or professional about it. When we said we would need a couple of minutes in that case, she very curtly asked if we were done with wine list. We therefore just handed her back the wine list and didn’t bother ordering any wine. It also seemed to be really amusing to the same waitress, for a reason unknown to us, when we asked for olive oil when our side salad came, which was undressed, and she had a laugh about it with the rest of the staff. They do have bottles of olive oil and vinegar for the tables, so it’s clearly not an unusual request. The restaurant is well reviewed and I’m sure that it’s probably a lovely restaurant, also all other front of house staff we encountered were great. It’s just not really acceptable to be rude to customers (and I’d like to add we weren’t being rude to her in the first place), and to talk and laugh about customers in a way intended for them to hear it. We were indecisive about leaving a negative review because all other reviews have been so positive, but this wasn’t our particular experience, and we’ve tried to be as balanced as possible. We would just go to a different restaurant next time, because we were made to feel really unwelcome and quite uncomfortable by one member of staff.

Stopped here for dinner on a Saturday night, we hadn't booked but they were able to seat us. The positive is the food was absolutely delicious, far & away the best pasta dish I have ever tasted & overall the menu looked fantastic. Service was good but we interacted with 3 different staff members & didn't see one smile but they were friendly enough. Prices on the main menu were quite reasonable, they had a specials board with salmon, swordfish ranging from £21-£27 roughly but none of them came with vegetables or potatoes so u had to order separately potentially taking it up to around £30. Drinks list again very good but I do have an issue paying £7 for a pint of Peroni. I've had one in Central London & at Wimbledon & not paid that much. Would recommended though as it's an independent restaurant which is good to see & would visit again.

Absolutely amazing gluten free salmon pasta. The potatoes are so delicious and so is the salad. I love coming to this Italian restaurant . It's also really priced so well!

Have been to Giuseppe’s twice now once dinner and lunch today, unfortunately both times in a bit of a rush to get to the hippodrome! Both times food has been promptly delivered and absolutely amazing. We will definitely be returning and trying to leave enough time to enjoy a more relaxed meal with all courses. Extremely friendly staff/service.
