This is a nice caravan holiday resort. Nice environment and people there. Met a lot of families visiting and staff working there. Rhe only thing about the place is the rooms, a bit small though( not the masters though). The restaurant withing the premises has good food and bar( staff eve help you suggest drinks if you are confused). They also have nice games to do just that some of the games weren't available the week we went so was much things to do inside the premises. But, there is kayaking, lunch in the water(not sure that's what it is called), archery, inside and outside pool and games at night(musical bingo, sports betting but the fun type that even children can participate with awards to be won)and silent disco etc.It was a fun week but if they could have daily cleaners cleaning the place it will be a nice for those who have children/ toodlers. Aside that everything was provided in the caravan aside food stuff.

The caravan was dirty the 2nd small toilet had skid marks in the toilet, crumbs in the kitchen some of the plates were dirty. The decking table dirty and leaves that looked like they had been there a long time, not been swept or cleaned. Also the lack of a tray to cook with, and there seemed to be building work going on around the decking at the main restaurant area we were not told about and the outdoor pool was closed due to maintenance again not told about till we came, The reception and bar staff on the plus side are helpful.

Small but great holiday park, competitively priced, well presented, swimming pool, laundry, entertainment in high season and positioned a maximum half hour drive from everywhere.Only negatives, ....Price of meals in bar expensive (or maybe I'm tight), and bar closes very early.

Such a great place! My family and I have been twice now and plan on returning again next year. Everything is clean and tidy. The area is also just beautiful.

Had a lovely time here and our family stayed in a 3 bed Superior caravan & 2 bed luxury caravan with hot tub which we really enjoyed, both were clean and comfortable. Unfortunately neither were ready on check in although we were warned by phone beforehand. My son & family managed to get in by 5pm and ours was not ready until 6.35pm which as we were eating in the restaurant when informed we were not able to get in until finished at 8pm. There were a number of things missing but these were quickly replaced.Despite the late starting issues the rest of the time here was lovely and the staff were all very friendly and always very helpful. There were some noise issues in the neighbouring superior caravan area but it was very tranquil around the luxury one.We ate twice in the restaurant and the food and choice was good. The outdoor pool was shut for a few days due to staffing issues which was a bit of a shame but it was nice to have 2 pools. The Lakes is situated in the middle of the Isle of Wight which is very convenient for travel purposes and very close to Newport for shopping, with a Co-op just accross the road for last minute items. One thing that was difficult was the lack of wifi in the Superior caravan area but the Luxury caravan' in Rookley Heights could access wifi probably because it was on a hill. All in all we had a great time and are booking again for next year.

Nice caravan with great views, once the storm had passed. We had a hot tub with ours and the only thing missing was the inclusion of some dressing gowns. Caravan was a dog friendly and was clean and tidy.

Lovely caravan. It's really comfortable. It's just short of a few things. No egg lifter. No sharp knives. No scissors. No mat to wipe your feet on. No cereal bowls. Otherwise, it's a great place. Just the little things that are needed. It's just constructive criticism, so you can make it better

Unfortunately not the best place to have stayed. We didn’t have any towels, soap, only had 2 glasses in caravan and no hairdryer as all stated. The caravan was wide open when we (me and 3 sons) arrived at 8:30pm and one light inside was on…. Didn’t feel entirely safe walking into it, considering the entire area was pitch black. No instructions for heating/ hot water or even the oven. No wife but we managed to tether. The shower STANK. Like open the shower door and the smell was rancid, maybe need to get someone to look at the drains. Also, bit of random… but is this park known to be haunted? We would get heavy footsteps in the evening up and down our caravan when the site was completely quiet. The caravan next to us was empty for our stay. Eldest saw a figure move in my bedroom which making me wake up every night at 3am wasn’t great… kept seeing something too from the corner of both our eyes. Didn’t want to scare or worry my younger children. Going to bed wasn’t exactly giving me interest I tell you…..Liked the fake fire though in the caravan, and looked pretty of an evening.

I stayed in a Three Bedroom Island Cottage with some friends for the Isle of Wight Festival in June and we had a good experience, so I booked again for a family holiday in August. Sadly, this time around was not as good of an experience.Pro's- Check in was quick and the ladies on Reception were very friendly.- The entertainment staff were brilliant.- Nice welcome pack, including a welcome pack for the dogs.- Good central location for exploring the island.Con's- Cottage was dirty; cobwebs everywhere, extractor fans were clogged with dust, showers weren't clean.- The cottage seems to have a spider problem (it was also noticed in my stay in June), so you are forever getting rid of spiders.- There was no toilet roll on arrival, so had to ask for some to be brought down.- The wi-fi didn't work, so had to go to Reception to ask for this to be fixed.- The complimentary toiletries pack that is listed on the website for all exclusive lodges wasn't there; asked Reception and were told that they don't do that anymore despite it being on the website and were given some in June.- No dishwasher or washing machine tablets (were also given some in June).- To access the hot tub, you have to go through the downstairs bedroom which is wooden flooring. Once you get out the hot tub soaking wet, there is no mat inside the bedroom so you end up walking water into the downstairs of the house, which becomes very dangerous. Asked for a mop and was told they would see if they can find one but it never materialised, so ended up laying spare towels on the floor to walk on.- Sofas are so uncomfortable you don't want to sit on them for more than 5 minutes.- Lack of kitchen utensils.- The on-site team that manage the hot tub walk into the back garden to check it without knocking or announcing themselves. We thought this was particular unprofessional as they would know the main bedroom is at the back of the house. My husband was getting dressed when they appeared in the garden, so had to quickly dive into the bathroom!- We paid for late check out, so had until 12pm. We had planned to relax in the hot tub in the morning, but the hot tub guys turned up at 8am and started to drain the hot tub. It was already half empty when I noticed them out the back and asked them to stop, so we weren't able to use it anymore (resulting in some very disappointed teenagers!). They told us they didn't know we had a late check out. At 11am, as we were starting to pack the car up, the cleaning team were already hanging around outside the property waiting to get in and kept asking us how long we were going to be. When we checked out, I complained to Reception about this. They did refund the additional amount we paid for late check out, but didn't seem that bothered.- The indoor swimming pool had to be booked in advance. This is frustrating, as you don't know what the weather will be like three weeks before your holiday, so all the slots were fully booked.- Drinks from the bar were really expensive.Unfortunately, there were a lot more negatives than positives and we wouldn't return.

Disappointed with 'dog friendly' Lodge that did not have a 'secure' garden. Lodge smelt badly of musk/mould even after leaving the windows open 24/7 over the 7 days we were there, smelt hit you every time you entered the property. The Exclusive Lakeside Lodge, was modernly decorated, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, dishwasher, washing machine, 2 bathrooms, 3 beds. Can't comment on Entertainment, Restaurant or Bar as we did not use those facilities.Indoor pool small but adequate, has to be booked online / on App 24hrs+ in advance.Hubby + Daughter enjoyed the kayaking (£20 for one double kayak for 45mins)Small Co-op 5mins walk from site.
