Spikes Gym

Probably the best gym in Newquay lots of great equipment and dedicated members would recommend

I tried to pay for a single session but apparently Spike only accepts cash and doesn’t have a bank account I could transfer money too. Seems like a legit business. He then tried to make it my fault for not carrying £7.50 in cash on me. Where I’m from in Bristol card payments are common practice. A member tried to help the situation and he got barked at too. I own a gym and if someone couldn’t pay for whatever reason I’d ask them to post on social media instead. Easy solution. I offer free sessions for first timers anyway. Terrible customer service from Spike, he just wanted a row. Such a shame as the gym is actually okay.

Awesome gym, spike is super friendly and always free for a spot. Music is always awesome too. Very friendly members, what more could you want

Trained here for the first time, while on holiday at Holywell Bay. Decent gym had a fantastic workout. The owner Spike was very helpful and polite. I would highly recommend this gym if you live in Newquay or want to do some serious training while in the area!!

Great place to work out and get fit, but is mainly a weight training gym both free weight and cable machines but they have some bikes and stepper machines.

Called the number registered on the gym as I'm going on holiday there so wanted to ask questions and guy picked up and was very rude saying what do you want hurry up" and then asked him why he talking like this then he hung up on me very rude and will not be attending"

The only “real” gym in Newquay. Superb equipment, friendly members who are helpful, owner Spike is a top man who is very knowledgeable. Pre and post workout drinks available and gym apparel.
