Llansamlet Household Waste Recycling Centre

I am new to this area but used to using Recycle centre's and I have to say this one is the worst I have ever used. The staff on site look so miserable and ready to retire. It seems a struggle for them to answer any questions or offer any help whatsoever. I gave 2 stars simply because of the great booking system, but the staff are a lot to be desired.

Had to throw away some things in the tip and this one was recommended as they cover everything. You do have to book which is annoying, we got away with just turning up but would be better if it was like that anyway. The staff let us in which was lovely of them and they helped us with it. There's a shop them with a few bits in, dodnt buy anything but you might find something you like. They have everything from tvs, furniture, instruments, ornaments and clothes.Make sure to book and you'll be fine. Annoying tips in swansea require a permit for a van so literally had to rely on someone else taking me there which is also annoying

Very friendly staff, well laid out.

Staff are rude uneducated and don’t assist you and denied me access due to not having seats in the back of my car stating i was a van no wonder swansea has a flytiping problem if they are like this now have to pay a local waste management company to take my recycling as the bin collections are unreliable even though i pay my council tax

Didn’t book, drove from Pontardulais, the guys fitted me in.. to save me coming back 10/10…

Since they implemented the new booking system, it runs smooth as clockwork. No queueing any more. They take almost anything. They also have a section of reusable wood that you can help yourself to. I've taken some quality timber from there. The lads are really helpful too. Great service.

Another fab day out at the tip, Google - shame only a 15 minute slot as I'd have loved to have stayed much longer. All that crushing, chucking and smashing - would highly recommend to anyone who loves throwing old wood, plastic toys, mouldy cardboard and broken curling tongs into industrial sized rusty skips.

We had an 11am slot with lots of household wood. The 2 guys attending were so helpful … can’t thank them enough ! Swansea at its best !

Well organised but don't expect overly helpful staff
