The Talland School of Equitation

Just back from an amazing week at Talland with two lessons a day – one flat and one jumping. It’s such a classy establishment.The horses are all great – some are amazing – and the instructors are brilliant.Brian Hutton in particular is the most fabulous jumping instructor! Highly recommended and worth travelling to even if you don’t live close by.

An absolutely fantastic establishment! I have had three schoolmaster sessions at Talland with Sarah and Pippa so far and it is honestly such a privilege to receive dressage tuition from them. Their kind and supportive approach combined with their expertise truly brings out the best in riders and I cannot believe the difference that guidance has made to my riding already. I would highly recommend training with Talland to anyone at any level; coming here has been the best decision I have made and is more than worth the travel! Thank you both so much, I honestly feel like I am becoming the rider I once was again!

We had a fabulous experience in every way. Talland is a great facility with some wonderful horses. The coaches are among the finest, and take great care and interest in individual student. We had some unforgettable lessons with Pippa, Hillary, Sarah and Soersha. Everyone is warm and friendly, yet firm in their work. Thank you very much for making it all seem like home away from home.

Just returned home after a couple of days at Talland, this is the second time I have been for a lesson with Pippa and I loved every minute of it yet again. Pippa is super knowledgeable and you can tell she just wants you to do well, so kind but yet willing to have a laugh too.The staff are friendly and accommodating too, nothing seems to much to ask.Will definitely be returning and hopefully a little more frequently too.

Fantastic lesson with Brian! He so patient and kind as well as incredibly knowledgeable! Bounce is the sweetest horse who goes beautifully as soon as o get things right!The whole team at Talland are so welcoming and friendly that I’m already looking forward to another lesson there. Well worth the long trip to get there so if you’re thinking of going - do it! You’ll love it :)

Just returned from 3 days at Talland. Riding my own 4 year old and riding some of their lovely school masters. Can’t thank Pippa enough for her patience with me, especially when my nerves got the better of me. All the staff and students were friendly and helpful. I will definitely return for some more intense training

A fabulous experience from start to finish. Welcoming atmosphere with lovely staff and a clear dedication to excellence.I first had an assessment session with Rupert on Balou. Rupert asked what I wanted to achieve and catered perfectly to this - he has a fantastic balance of fun and knowledge and was encouraging throughout. This was followed by a schoolmaster session with Pippa on King. Pippa has an infectious positive energy and clear explanation of her techniques which led to an enjoyable session from start to finish and King was so cool!I expected to enjoy it, however I came away wanting to go straight back and do it all over again. Thanks to the Talland team and horses ⭐️
