Fairfield Nature Reserve

Excellent conservation area to walk and take in the views.

Best place to relax with nature .water and birds. My favorite place in Lancaster ..

Nice quite place, nice view

Lovely place not very busy, nice quiet time with can of lager n dog loved it, must stay on lead

This nature reserve is small (you can walk from one end to the other in 10 minutes), but still a quiet, beautiful spot. Cows / sheep and many kinds of birds and insects and things live here in the small fields. There's a dirt path for most of it, with raised wooden platforms over the wet parts. You should be able to push someone in a wheelchair over these but anyone pushing themselves may struggle to get up onto the raised sections. The area surrounding the nature reserve is great for walks too (we walk from the canal, down a track used by a nearby farm, along the path bordering the reserve, through the orchard, then through the nature reserve and back to the canal), it's all peaceful and a nice escape from the bustle of the town.

Nice walk on a sunny day. There are a variety of routes you can take, we did the long one and was about 2 miles

Brilliant, a very nice walk on good footpaths with good raised walkways in the flooded sections.
