Great to see an open day and free entry

This place is a miniature model creators/ collectors backyard, though slightly more inclined towards model railway and trains.It has different sizes of model trains and model boats during certain events. It's simply amazing to see the very well laid tracks and locomotives for G scale. It speaks for their passion and commitment towards their trade.You are able to sit on the G scale model and take a trip around their premises.Its worth a visit for hobbyists and others who have no clue on these activities as well.

Can't believe that GMES has been here for over 60 years and I never knew it even existed. Great place to bring the kids or visit just on your own. Tea and cake in the club house is not to be missed either.

Great afternoon out for parents and toddlers when they open the gates to the public. At all other times it is members only so that the serious business of working on the module trains can be done in peace!? But their work is really quite special and worth a visit when they let everyone else watch them play! Check out their website for open days. There are two ride on train tracks with a variety of trains to pull the passengers around the park. Tickets are only a £1 a ride and you get a lovely souvenir of your visit.

This is a rare and exciting venue for grandparents & grandchidren as well as parents. Various rides pulled by different locos or diesel engines plus other railway related activities, including a model railway track featuring the long gone Cheltenham Station. Throw in good facilties- toilets, tea, coffee and wonderful home made cakes and ice cream on sale - and there is something for everyone.

Lovely time was had here to watch IMLEC 2022. Everyone was friendly and there was plenty to keep us entertained while watching the trains. Large refreshments tent, two more model railways to watch, and loads of great places to sit (or stand) and watch the competitors complete their runs. A very nice day out.

Fully opened for the first time since lockdown - minature trains running inside as well as all the other trains.New building work is progressing nicely with a new signal box looking more complete that it did before.Always a very friendly atmosphere and welcoming, if your child wants questions answered there are pleanty of helpful people working there.And there are lovely freshly baked cakes available along with drinks and snacks.We have been going here for a few years and still enjoy it a lot.Great place for children to enjoy (I also love watching the marvellous trains running around - some are amazingly detailed replicas of full size engines from around the world).July 2023Check which weekends it is open. Usually once a month.Very friendly people there as always. Nice cakes, but they can go quickly as they are so tasty.You can pay for rides with cash or by card.Lovely display of seasonal flowers by the trackside.As always great for children or much older children like me (adults who enjoy trains)

Friends invited and I joined without expectation. I am so glad that I went. It is brilliant. Those who organise and run it are pillars of the community and really give something wonderful back. I shall look to return annually at least.
