I’ve had 2 suits made here and they are both amazing quality. The range of fabrics on offer is incredible . The service is very special. Old fashioned tailoring at its best. The shop is historic too. Amazing bespoke products.Also had clothes / uniforms altered.

I took my suit in on very short notice as it needed altering quite abit after i had dropped some weight since i bought it. Not only did they manage to turn it around on very short notice, but the quality of the work was very impressive. It felt like a new suit after the alterations were made. I would highly recommend.

I had a pair of trousers repaired that had a sizeable hole in where the fabric had worn away. The repair took about two weeks from sending in my trousers to getting them back, which I thought was very good. The repair is of fantastic quality - it is hard to tell that they have had any work done. The hole has been patched up, the new fabric matches very well, and the inside has been reinforced so should be good for a long time yet. The repair cost around £19 +postage which was tremendous value given the quality.

Fantastic experience! I brought in two of my favourite suits to be tailored. Michael helped me and made me feel very welcome.The time scale from bringing the suits in to them being completed was a very short time also which was great as I had an event the day after.Both suits were exactly tailored to how I asked and look great and I certainly will be returning.If you are looking to get your suits tailored to a high standard then Michael is your guy.Very happy with my experience.Thank you again.Deano

My son and I had a fantastic experience here. We had bespoke suits tailored for my wedding, and Michael couldn't have been more patient and accommodating with our requests. The final results were amazing, extremely comfortable and fitted perfectly.Michael's business has been there for a very long time, and you can tell by the care and quality of the services provided as to why that is. I have been using James Personal tailor & sons since 2013 now. Unreal service every time from shirts to custom suits.Michael went above and beyond when my Dad had a custom suit for his 75th, amazing experience. I wouldn’t use anyone else and all friends etc have started to use them.Highly recommend

I don't normally write reviews for places but I felt I had to. The service I received from Mike was second the none, the meticulous detail he went to in all aspects of my suit we're incredibly impressive. I own a Lamborghini sales and tuning business and so my expectations are probably higher than most as I know what my customers expect from me, Mike and his team excelled my expectations which rarely happens. Many thanks for the hard work. I've also asked Mike to repair my favourite jeans so I'm looking forward to seeing the results of these too. Thanks again.

Another great experience from Mike at James Personal Tailors in Manchester. Always a treat to visit, it's somewhere between Kingsman and the Peaky Blinders !!!Range of fabrics available is on par with Saville Row, Scabal etc ... and tailoring costs seem to be sensible for Manchester.I remember dealing with Jim, Michaels father a true gent and celebrity tailor, judging by Mikes stories it's great to see he has continued the family tradition, but you will have to ask him yourself.highly recommend him for men's bespoke tailoring and suit alterations.

A massive thank you to Michael for the design and tailoring of my wedding suit. From the moment we sat down in the incredibly evocative consultation room to the moment I had my final fitting and picked my suit up, I felt like James Bond, being kitted out for another mission. It was the experience of a lifetime and Michael made it all so simple. My suit looked and fitted perfectly and I know it will last a lifetime.
