Newman’s Hair Culture

As most of the reviews on here seem to be pre covid and predominantly for the barbers, I thought I'd put up one of my own experience. I have been having my hair cut and coloured here for a few years now, always with the lovely Lucie. I had my appt today(25/08/20), after not having had my hair cut or coloured for 9 months! I masked up, had my temperature taken & was invited to use the hand sanitizing station before I entered the premises. So far so good. As usual, I was met by a friendly greeting from a masked and visored Lucie and shown to her chair. Lucie has always listened carefully to what I was asking her to do with my hair. Then she suggests different styles and colours I may not have thought of. I have always said to her, you know what? Let's go for it". In the past, I have found going to the hairdresser's more stressful than a visit to the dentist! Having seen the amazing cuts Bekki has given my daughter, my son in law and now also my little grandson, I decided to book myself in with her, to sort out my hair before my younger daughter's wedding next week. She put me at my ease and wowed me with her hairstyling skills. The whole experience was relaxing and enjoyable - an absolute first for me! She made me feel very special throughout my appointment, and I came away thrilled with my beautifully crafted, layered bob. Thank you so much, Bekki!

Wow what a place. Emily has been cutting my hair for over 9 years now and has listened every time to how I want it and has also told the best ways to maintain it myself as well, she has never let me down. The barbers itself has amazing and polite people who are always up for a nice chat as well and will offer you a drink of any kind. This is the place to get your haircut, no doubt about it. 10/10 can’t recommend it enough

Absolutely lovely environment to be in, very friendly welcoming and was very well looked after/clean which is great in the current circumstances.I had a cut and colour with Lucie, left the salon with my hair looking and feeling amazing! Definitely worth this long wait!Highly recommend
