The food in the restaurant was reasonably good. The steak was not seasoned and lacked flavour. The thing that let it down the most was the service. The service was very slow. Apparently there was an issue with my order and they'd made a mistake which is why I had to wait 40 minutes for my dessert. At least the offered me 20% off. However, I had already paid for my food in advance so we only got 20% off the £16 for the 2 steaks rather than the whole bill.

Many years ago (too many) I visited The French Horn with my wife but at that time you were not sure if it was a Pub or Restaurant, Boy has that changed, Great Food served on hot plates..Great friendly service and the young man serving us understood the needs of myself and my guests all of us over 75.The food arrived spot on and quickly which surprised us seeing as the Restaurant was rammed.We all had the Sunday Roast Beef(£17.50) which included Cauliflower Cheese..Vegetables..and 3 or 4 slices Beef..excellent Roast Potatoes along with plenty of other veg. Timothy Taylor at £4.70..Stella.£5.00 followed by Coffee at £2.50 and £3.45 Latte the bill for the 3 meals and extras was £73.15 more than acceptable having had an exceptional meal.A really cosy efficient Pub with friendly staff.We will return to what, in my opinion, is the Best Sunday Lunch in the Alton area. Lovely front desk lady and beautiful atmosphere around.They have some kids rides and toys as well.Just enough space for parking.Food is just delicious, you will never experience the same excellent level of food in any Pub around.However the only thing is the time you have to wait for the food.

Warm friendly welcome. Service was very quick. Delicious food and a wide range of wines to choose from. Popular with the locals. Nice location. Will definitely visit again. The waiter/waitress was lovely...service with a smile. Cannot fault their efficiency during service.

Really enjoyed the Bikers Barbecue here today, thank you for hosting!! Weather was great & really enjoyed the burger & wedges!! Restaurant was also laid out for evening service & looked really nice!! Staff great!! Thank you, recommend highly!!

Went yesterday for last Bikers barbecue of the year. Lovely family Inn, great location. Beautiful dining room. Excellent quality barbecue food. Very friendly staff. Dogs welcome, perfect for couples or families lots of events.

I visited here with my parents a few weeks ago, this review is overdue. We had a warm welcome by a very friendly young man who was very attentive, despite being busy. We had a lovely lunch in a pleasant atmosphere and will definitely come back. If I lived closer I would go to their comedy nights too.

Good food, lovely garden and convenient location a short walk from town which makes it feel like a proper country pub.We've tried the polish meals, burgers and fish & chips, all were great.The staff are always really friendly and helpful too.

Stopped here for lunch. Found a nice comfortable table. Good menu. Food was good and was presented really nicely. Drinks were nice and we were brought a jug of water which was good. Lady behind the bar was on her own serving drinks and food and at one point was really busy but she handled it all very well.

Stayed for two nights. Room was very clean and tidy but restrictive in size.Only fault is awkward to fill kettle in sink.Good shower.Lovely Polish breakfast.
