Temple Newsam Running Track
Nice running track it's set aside to the car park bit of a gravel slop to get to it if you come in from the carpark although you can park at opposite side of road and walk over the road .it's next to golf course.

Great place to practice getting fit in any weather as it is an all weather surface with a football pitch in the centre.

A great track to have open and free for public use. Always quiet and usually empty during the day on weekdays. Would be 5 stars if it were kept in better condition by the council - currently quite muddy and slippy in winter months

A real shame that this place isn't kept better as it would be an asset to the running community. Sadly local idiots come to use the track as a go cart circuit, so it's often cut up and near impossible to run on.

Temple Newsam Running Track
Free to use and always open, this facility is owned by Leeds City Council. Apparently track is 403.3 metres on inner lane (per LCC). Back in 1960s it had a cinder surface but this has degraded somewhat: good surface most of year but can get muddy in places in Winter.Straight still available for those wishing to practise their sprinting. Football pitch in centre but other athletics features have deteriorated (no sand for long jump - though you could probably still use shot putt platform).As well as joggers, l have also seen walkers, dog-walkers, cyclists, parents with pushchairs and children with remote control cars making use of firm flat surface!

Temple Newsam Running Track
The only free to access track I could find relatively locally. Slightly gravelly, level, 400m and surrounded by trees...what more could you want!

Nice 400m running track, hardly used except by amateur and fitness fanatics, quiet part of the park opposite golf course leads into the woods towards Templegate estate, I use this location mainly to walk my dog
