Disgusting kennels. Dogs came out caked in filth, shivering cold and wet. The faeces was smeared into their skin and it took several warm baths to remove. Avoid at all costs

My friend left his dog over the weekend and when he picked him up the dog was in immense pain and his tail had somehow been cut off and all that remained was a bloody stump with a bit skin hanging off, staff didn’t seem to know how this happened. Shocking duty of care for people who are supposed to be looking after beloved pets.

*WARNING* Do not under any circumstances leave your animal here to be looked after. There are a long list of animals that have been abused by the owners of this centre. Dogs returned soaked and smelling of urine, injury to a dogs tail with owners turning up to collect their pet to find its tail now a bloodied stump with no explanation of how it happened. Many animals have left here with psychological problems, nervous and scared. Dogs are barely fed and several dogs have attended the vet after collection due to dehydration. Open sores, untreated injuries and lack of compassion makes this the kennels of horror. If you love your pet you won't even consider this as a boarding option. Many complaints have been lodged to Angus Council and the relevant authorities but still this place is allowed to trade. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Horrible place. The whole place reeks of animal pee before you even walk into the place, and when you step inside, it smells even worse. We gave clear instructions on exactly how much food to feed my cat on a note connected to the container of food we gave them, so it was impossible to get wrong.Bowl we gave them didn't look like it had been washed at all the whole week we were away and a full tub of food was almost empty and the cat came back twice the size! How you even double a cat's size in 7 days is beyond me. Instructions were clearly not followed even though they were written clearly on the box! When we picked up our cat, he was absolutely terrified and shaking which I've never seen him do before in his life, had a couple of new scabs on him too.And the cheek to charge us £90 to keep the cat in those disgusting conditions when he wasn't even fed properly, owner needs to go back and learn to brush the couple of teeth still left in his head, let alone take care of peoples' animals.Absolute disgrace, never take your pet here.

My dog was here 2 weeks ago and has been here once before where she was tied up to the kennel door so much that she chewed through her lead and she lost her voice due to the choking and distress barking. I decided to give this place another chance due to the only place able to take my dog at the last minute due to unforseen circumstances but the arrogance and attitude that my family was met with when dropping her off and picking her up was disgusting along with the conditions that she had been in. When dropping her off she was extremely anxious and did not want to go in and when explaining to them not to tie her up again they said they did not do this anyway even though they admitted to doing exactly this as a reason for her lead being destroyed. I have been left with alot of guilt about leaving her here and I definitely made a big mistake doing so. I definitely would never trust this place again...

Just picked up my two happy dogs, with the delightful side benefit that they will now sleep for a week having spent a couple of days being overstimulated by the 24/7 company of other dogs, which they’re not used to.We are delighted to have found somewhere that is willing to and capable of handling my Reactive German Shepherds. They’re safe, cared for and I get a break and they’re allowed back. The only reason I’ve given 4 stars and not 10 is so as not to mislead folk, Happas Canine Centre is a kennels and as such is very good, however it is not a grooming parlour or puppy hotel, if your little darling needs 5 star pampering look somewhere else or take it in holiday with you.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTSAnimals are kept in appalling conditions, left to lie in there own urine as the owner can’t be bothered to take them out
