The Adam and Eve public house is conveniently situated next to a car park close to Norwich Cathedral. The sign proudly proclaims that it is possibly the oldest pub in Norwich. So after visiting the Cathedral it was nice to stop and enjoy a hot chocolate with an added shot of Woods Demerara Rum.

Amazing little old pub, popped in for beer on a Saturday night, packed so sat outside with the dog, friendly staff and good beer

Visited from Canada. It's not everyday that you can have a brew and great meal in an establishment dating back over 700 years. Rita was charming and so welcoming as were her patrons. Rita made sure that this would be a visit I would not forget and this was definitely the pub highlight of my visit. Norwich is an amazing historical city and the people are very friendly to an over talkative Canadian like myself. Thank you so much for everything Rita. You are a gem.

Putatively the oldest pub in Norwich. It claims it was created to provide ale to the Master Stone Masons who built the Norman Cathedral which is only 400m from the front door of the pub

We enjoyed a pint here, but we had to sit outside with the Dogs. Friendly service from the staff.

Lovely old pub with great photos of Norwich on the wall from back in the day. Staff were friendly.

Pretty cool place. Its not real big, but its nice for a pint and to sit outside and enjoy it. Big car park right next to it too, which is handy.

Had to have a pint in the oldest pub in Norwich. Quaint, beautiful building with lots of original features. Nice atmosphere and beautiful flowers decorating the whole front. X

This small, wonderful, historical pub is located in Bishopgate, close to Norwich Cathedral, the Great Hospital, and Norwich Law Courts. It is widely claimed to be the oldest pub in the city, with the earliest known reference made in 1249.The staff were great, helpful friendly, and keen to chat about the extensive history of the pub. The Real Ale was fresh and in good condition. Spend a bit of time here exploring the photos and literature on the walls. It was the last pub in Norwich to serve ale from the barrel, until a bar was installed in 1971.
