Poundland

Seems like less and less stock plus prices have risen in line with others and now now really worth a visit. AA and AAA Batteries went for £1 to £1.75

A great place to go to find many very useful bargains. A great number of which are only £1. The other items are often only a little more than £1. I think that Poundland is now a Mini Super Store with a wide range of products including; food, drinks, sweets, homeware, garden equipment, toys, games, clothing, tools, stationery, DIY, health and beauty, pets, car accessories, cycling, travel, books,etc. My visit was to find out if they stocked a particular confectionery. Some Poundland branches sell a range of Barrett Sweets but some branches don't. Unfortunately Southampton don't so I chose something else instead. But luckily there's always a very good discount to find when shopping in this store. So I recommend a visit whenever you can.The store is located on the ground floor and is wheelchair accessible. There is also local car parking.

Nice store and many things under £1.50.It is situated mid of the town in southampton city UK.

Needs a manager that understands retail and more staff. No point filling shelves when you have 2 out or 6 self scan and only 1 out of 4 checkouts open. When big questions get people on checkouts it's costing you money as customers dump baskets and just walk out. Prices are the only thing you get right. Never seen any white/ African staff very discriminating on who you hire.

Christmas shopping queue today 5 miles long,only 2 tills working, doesn't accept cards, no security... total nightmare ,dumb slow and untrained staff. Avoid like the plague.

Always worth shopping here. Great value. But not enough staff if you need help.

Wide selection of goods from clothes and toys, toiletries and hardware, snacks stationery and seasonal items. Whilst they didn't have an egg timer I managed to get everything else on my list. Self serve checkout was great too.
