Convenient modern hotel on the Premier Inn model. Great location close to Waverly Station and just off The Golden Mile. Our room was of a reasonable size. Very good and reasonably priced breakfast buffet. Good experience overall.

This hotel is conveniently located right off the Royal Mile, but that's the best thing I can say about it. The staff is fine, but it is incredibly overpriced! After the pound-to-dollar conversion, we had to pay the equivalent of nearly $400 per night, including the 10-pound/person breakfast buffet, for a so-called Premier Plus room that had fewer amenities than motels I've stayed at elsewhere. No shampoo and conditioner, just body-wash dispensers in the shower, and no option for getting any at the hotel. No safe in the room. One drawer below the tiny hanger space that also holds an ironing board, with no dresser for storing clothes. Other than location... Not recommended.

We stayed here for the beginning of our 2+ week vacation for 6 days. The hotel is in a perfect location to the Royal Mile, it's just up a small hill around the side of the hotel. The room was great, was a good size and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The only issue we had was the circulation, while it worked it was difficult for one of us to breathe well due to the humidity. But the hotel staff found us a fan and all was well. The restaurant was great for both breakfast and dinner. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Anna was a great bartender and recommended some whisky for us to try and it was really good. We would absolutely stay here again when we come back to Edinburgh.

We loved this place. It was convenient to the old city. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There were 3 other couples with us. We all agreed we would stay there again if we ever return. I highly recommend it. It was right across from the train station, but we never heard a train.

Very close to Waverley Station. Rooms are a good size and beds are comfortable. Breakfast is definitely worth the price with plenty of options. Short walk to the Royal mile. Hotel offers free luggage storage which was super helpful as our train left later in the day after we checked out. Gave us the chance to explore some more before we left. Only complaint I had was the Wifi was terrible. There is an option to purchase access to better Wifi but as we were there for only a couple nights and we had data on our phones we didn’t try it out.

Stayed here for 3N.. First timer in Scotland. Best decision ever.. Rooms are new and clean. Service is friendly and fast.Best of all was the location.. Smack middle of the city center.. 10min walk to the castle and a 5min walk to the waverly station.Rooms are very clean and tidy. Water pressure is strong and hot. Appreciate the long bath.. Perfect for a hard day's walk exploring the city.Note reception is mostly unmanned thru the day. Use the self service kiosks.Free parking at waverly station for 20mins if you validate the parking ticket at the reception desk.Small downside was the room walls are quite thin. You will hear people talking outside in the corridor and doors opening and closing.

Really convenient place to stay in the city, I was slightly worried I'd hear the trains as we were near Waverley but they must have pretty good triple glazing as I didn't hear that much. Lovely comfortable bed and really good breakfast.Only thing I'd make others aware is that it's at the bottom of an incline so be prepared for walk up to the Royal Mile!

We have stayed in several Premier Inns, first time at the Royal Mile. Not impressed, worst experience. We have never had to ask for our room to be cleaned, this is a ridiculous new feature. This is a Premier Plus room, its damp, smells very musty, window ledge is covered in water every day running down the wall onto the carpet from the humidity, never wiped down by cleaning staff. Tonight we found water running out the fridge, the room is only ever half cleaned, you need to have your towels changed each day, they stay wet after use because of the humidity etc etc etc. The wall by the window has signs of the paint peeling off, expect to see mould there. Even the bottled water that should be supplied each day as part of Premier Plus, you are also chasing that up. Its just everything here, it's ridiculous, and the rates for a 3 star hotel are way over-priced. The staff, with the exception of a few of them who were helpful, are not trained properly. Their manner is so rude. The cleaning staff come knocking at the door asking when they can get in, so frustrating. Their signs clearly state no one will knock or come into your room, they will wait until the sign is displayed. We will never stay here again, certainly no recommendation, avoid this hotel. Can't believe how bad this is. Checked the reviews, this damp thing as well as the rude staff weeks to be the norm here.

The rooms and facilities may be familiar at the Premier Inn but that doesn't diminish their comfort, cleanliness and value. The bed is always surprisingly comfortable and the decor tastefully done, making it a step up over most budget options. This one scores bonus points for two free chocolates on the bed, and being almost next door to one of my favourite cafes in town, Room and Rumours, plus the Royal Mile runs right behind the building.

Great location, super easy to walk to all major attractions and the city centre from the hotel. There is also a new Loudons across the street which is pretty quiet for breakfast. The room was really small but since I was traveling solo it was fine but anyone else it would have been a tight fit. The bathroom was also tiny and I wish they had put a shelf in the shower. There was no kettle in the room but they had drinks in the cafe which were free and alway stocked. For me this place was ideal and the price wasnt bad either. I would suggest booking as far out as possible I booked about 5 months out and got a really fair price. I would definitely stay here again if I was going solo and getting a bigger room if I was going with others.
