I have read reports that laser hair removal doesn't always work depending on the amount of hair to be removed and skin pigmentation. I had laser hair removal at St James Beauty and it was over in just 6 sessions. Competitive price and professional treatment at this salon. Well worth the treatment.

I accompanied my girlfriend, who had some waxing done. This was her 3rd time there and the previous experiences have been generally positive. Legs (all good there) and eyebrows... she got burned and we’re now hoping she won’t get a scar right on the face. Clearly whoever did the waxing couldn’t be bothered to check the temperature. Now we’ll have to look for a dermatologist - thank you!Definitely wouldn’t recommend. Ever. To anyone.

The worst facial I have ever received plus horrible customer service.The therapist Victoria was nice, but had no knowledge of the products at all and was seriously injuring my skin by using for extraction a metal blackhead remover which she used so hard that my skin started to bleed. She couldn't explain anything about the dermalogica products she used and would only tell you that 'there is a lot of good stuff in it'. I have booked 90 minutes and she finished the treatment after 75 minutes. She was not explaining what she was doing, I didn't received a massage as advertised and she was using the paper that was covering the bed to clean my face - seriously???I was shocked that she then tried to charge me for 90 minutes, even though it was only 75 minutes- she got very rude and argued with me so that her Manageress had to come to help. She tried to find a solution and I explained that the overall treatment was horrible and that she injured my skin, but she still wanted to charge me for 60 minutes and thought that it was a nice gesture not to charge for 90 minutes which I not have received anyway.After arguing for a while when I thought it can't get worse, the owner appeared (who has no knowledge about facials and skin at all, as he is apparently a dentist). I explained the situation and he blamed the company dermalogica as his staff received recently training from them and they told them to do facials like this. This is a completely unacceptable answer, as he has to make sure that his staff knows what they are doing and I have received several dermalogica facials which were excellent. He decided to give me the 60 minutes treatment for half price - so I ended up paying 40 Pounds for a serious skin injury and an experience for which they should pay the customers.Definitely avoid this place! Completely unprofessional and run by a person who doesn't know anything about skin.

I booked in for a wax having been to ego many times before and always paid the same amount.When I went to pay at the front desk after my treatment this time the amount was double what I usually pay.I asked why and I was told there had a price increase and change to the treatment list.My issue is that I should’ve been made aware of these changes on the phone when I called to book.When I started to question the amount and the way I was being cornered into pay for something that should’ve cost half of what they were trying to charge me, the lady continued to give me every kind of excuse she could think of.‘Oh its covid’‘its like this everywhere’‘ you had a special deal with the last therapist’ ( a complete lie).‘the price list has been like this for two years’ (another lie). And even if it has I have never been charged the amount they were asking for.‘its very difficult to find therapist for male waxing’ (is that my issue?, and your solution is robbing your clients?)Finally she came out with something close to the truth which was ‘I know youre used to paying what you used to pay but we just cant do it at that price anymore’She could’ve offered to honour the price I usually pay since I wasn’t aware of the changes. But customer service isn’t a priority for them, just the customers money.The point is if the prices had changed I should’ve been made aware before I booked. You don’t surprise and ambush a client at the till. The whole thing came across very money hungry, opportunistic and dishonest.Ive been coming to this salon for four years even before the current owner so I do consider myself a loyal customer, this is defiantly not how you treat someone who has been loyal. So I wont be coming back here and I wouldn’t recommend you do either.

I do recommend this place as a beauty salon. The girls are absolutely fantastic, very professional and always up for a chit-chat (special thanks to Mercan!). More important, they are trustworthy: I had an old voucher that had expired (all Covid-19 circumstances!), and they put no problem at all for me to use it (as this is not happening in other places, what is utterly unfair!). Worthy a day communting to the office. Highly recommended!

I started my laser treatment a year ago which I thought couldn't get any better but then it got even better recently with their new soprano titanium laser . This is 100000% better as its less painful and much faster, I was in and out before my break barely began!! The service is always fantastic, very professional but friendly and welcoming. Always a pleasure
