From our first telephone conversation, Nick treated us with compassion, kindness and when appropriate humour, following the passing of our son. He was a great comfort to us and guidance and support in the arrangement of the funeral which was faultless. Nick also took the service which was perfect, and couldnt have been better, and many people commented how it was spot on. Thank you so much Nick.

Nick, Carole, Natalie and their staff took such good care of us all following our recent bereavement. Their kindness and professionalism was a great comfort to the whole family and the service conducted by Nick - at GreenAcres Colney - was a fitting tribute to my Dad. Nothing was too much trouble.I don't have experience of any other funeral directors in the area and I'm sure they're all caring people, but what I can say is that others would struggle to be any better - in quality or value for money. We would thoroughly recommend Nick and his family. You won't be disappointed.

We have used Nicholas Potts and Daughter for three family funerals over the last few years, the latest only last week. I can’t praise or recommend them highly enough. At each of the funerals Nick and his family have been compassionate, kind, professional, respectful and given us valuable guidance and advice from start to finish. I cannot praise Nick enough for how he handled everything when I unexpectedly lost my Mum. He has the perfect balance of humour and solemnity, he is compassionate, dignified and thoughtful, and nothing was too much trouble.Even though we decided on a direct cremation, he happily facilitated our requests to add some personal touches, which brought a lot of comfortThe way you are treated at a time like this makes such a difference, and Nick certainly made the process far more bearable. I’ve used Nick’s funeral and cremation service three times since 2014. Most recently May the 10th 2022 for my brother. I have absolute praise and thanks for Nick and his employee’s. My father’s passing was made a lot easier with the exceptional service I received from Nick and his daughter.Nothing was too much trouble. Nick ensured that the service was unique to dad and our family, by passing full ownership of its minute details to us and ensuring they were fulfilled impeccably leading up to, and on the day.Considering the solemn nature of his business, Nick has a great skill in using humour (at the right time) and storytelling to help calm nerves and to ‘brighten the room’ throughout the experience.I’d fully recommend Nick E. My family and I are very grateful to Nick and Natalie his daughter for making a difficult and painful time so much easier. Nick was very relaxed and reaassuring which greatly helped me, my brother and my mum plan her funeral in a very short time and we were able to give mum a send off to be remembered. I cannot recommend them highly enough, they were respectful, kind, understanding, informative and made wonderful suggestions for the service when we were feeling overwhlemed with choices. Pricing was was very reasonable and clearly explained with no hidden surprises afterwards. I will only be using Nick and Natalie in the future, as and when the need arises, as I know I will be in safe hands.

My stepfather passed away recently and Nick prepared and took charge of the whole funeral service, asking what my mothers wishes were and my late fathers. Nick is kind and a genuinely thoughtful and respectful person and this reflected in the service we received from him from right at the beginning to the planning of the funeral, the service and even the after care. On the day of the service it was such a beautiful way to for all of the friends and familys to say their final goodbyes. Nick is a real genuine man,and such a professional, and so softly spoken, Nick made the whole process go smoothly at such a difficult time, I would recommend him to anyone for all around service, price and care. It’s taken me a while to get round to this review, so apologies Nick. The funeral was handled so well. My Mum got the send off she wanted and deserved and Nick’s handling of it all made it so much easier. Nick also has a gentle sense of humour which really helps at such a serious time.Also, although it shouldn’t be an issue, the cost was very reasonable.Thanks Nick and all at the company.
