Quayside Medical Practice

Since moving to the practice almost 2 years ago, every appointment and encounter I’ve had with a member of staff has been positive. I had an appointment today where I was thoroughly listened to, my options were explained in detail and I left feeling extremely reassured and much more positive than when I had arrived. Can’t thank the Doctors and support staff enough, especially Dr Crutchley who I dealt with today.

After having a face 2 face with the doctor she arranged for further blood tests and said I wouldn’t need to speak to her that she would give me a prescription. After the test results came back got a call from receptionist to say doctor wants to speak to me. I told receptionist that the doctor had said they would be giving me a prescription. No said the receptionist the doctor wanted to discuss my options. Made a appointment for a telephone consultation. After nearly 2 weeks of worrying, thinking the blood test had shown something else spoke to the doctor who prescribed the same medication that she had told me she was going to do over 2 weeks ago. There was nothing to discuss. What a waste of mine and the doctors time. Somebody else might have needed that appointment

Unable to get an appoinment for my child who’s had a cough for over 3 weeks. Can’t do it online. Can’t get through to anyone on the phone. Thought it couldn’t get any worse than when it was Failsworth Group practice. Shameful.

I needed an urgent appointment and called yesterday (Tuesday) at 8am and there was no ring whatsoever for the first 5 minutes, then the call ends automatically. Probably their telephone system was overloaded, but this only means they need to invest in a better one. Once you go past that, you have to make at least - and not exaggerating at all - at least 20 calls to get in a queue (I started as number 19), where chances are you are already too late for an appointment for that day.Very disappointing, I don't see any improvements from the previous GP at Failsworth who got closed by the CCG for almost the same reasons.

I have been quayside medical practice since l was 5 years old l had issues making a appointment got wait 2-3 weeks staff arent that helpful at mo you get told ring up at 8am in morning for urgent appointments they all gone since failsworth practice shut down we got there patiences better opportunaly then ones been with quayside l had go a@e for check up on wedthyrs

Lately I've been waiting an average of 4 weeks for each appointment. I've been with them for 9 years and I'm still not properly on their systems. You need to call at certain times to get an appointment. If you get lucky they answer. When you get there on time you still wait at least 10 minutes to be seen BUT If YOU are late 10 minutes the doctor will send you away and you'll need to take another half day off work to come again another day. To add insults they'll send you a humiliatin text message that you missed your appointment and it costs 200 million to the NHS. If you make it to the your challenging appointment time you're with a different doctor everytime. None of them will listen to you properly and you can only discuss 1 problem per session. I've put up with them for 9 years. Not a pleasant experience.

I hear many bad experiences but I have to disagree.I don't use the doctor often, but in the last 3 weeks I have had to ring for a same day appointment for a recurring allergy issue.I may have been on occasion number 17 in the queue but was answered within 7 minutes and each of the 3 times got a same day appointment, no issuesWell done Quayside!The doctors I've seen on each occasion have been great!

Absolute nightmare getting an appointment. Cut you off when you dial at 8am and when you dial back immediately you’re 20 in the queue and miss same day appointment. Next available bookable appointment END SEPTEMBER - 8 weeks away!!!!. And they do not offer online appointment booking despite saying they do on their website and in their phone message. Just awful :-(

They have always been fantastic for myself, partner and son.If they haven't been able to see me they have offered advice and provided the out of hours and even phoned back after speaking to doctors to see if we could be fit in.Been with them for nearing three years now and they are by far the best I've had.Also want to mention how amazing the reception team and doctors are as they has always been friendly and polite not to mention solving issues I have.

Thank you to the practice manager who responded personally and swiftly to a complaint. She reassured me that QMP are making significant improvements to meet the needs of local people.
