Delightful place to stay. Accommodation was really good and excellent value. Food was really good and was a reasonable price. Can't wait to go back

Visited the spa - morning with lunch. Can not fault the whole experience, the facilities are 5 star, staff were friendly and attentive. Everything was clean. The massage given by Chloe was brilliant as was the facial. The lunch was delicious. Will definitely be back!!

0 star for the service if I could give! My husband booked and paid for 60 minute massage session for two to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We booked 11:00am and they recommend to arrive 15 minutes in advanced, we arrived 30 minutes before, filled in the health declaration questionnaire and sat at the lobby to wait. The massage started late from 11:08 ish and finished at 11:50. It only lasted about 40 minutes. And the staff were not attentive. And we went to the restaurant inside the hotel for lunch, the waitress were not professional and rude, except one Thai staff was friendly. It took forever for the drinks to be served and at that time, only one or two table was occupied. When the food was served, staff did not provide any cutlery nor napkins. We had to wait for someone to come by to request for these. Food was okay, but service was really unsatisfying. We will definitely revisit again if the massage and dining experience were good, but at this point, I would not even recommend to anyone.

I stayed here with my mom on a lovely Aug week to attend a friend’s wedding in the marquee owned by this establishment. The service is quick and the folks are absolutely lovely! We were tended to immediately when we arrived and taken to our rooms. The room have all the toiletries and a tea/coffee station. A TV for your viewing and of course a nice big window for a grand view. Enough places for storage too and the bathroom has a rain shower as well as a bath ✅The restaurant serves all halal and we didn’t need to book anything. The servers there are also informative and just super friendly. The marquee itself was gorgeous and the food there was splendid. We needed to go see Blackburn and they were able to order a taxi for us. That’s the only drawback - the hotel has nothing around it so you’d need to travel to the town to see or do anything.Absolutely great experience regardless! Recommend!

Had a brilliant time in the spa, however timings wasn’t great. Had a massage booked at 4pm, which started late and was finished earlier than the allotted time.Room was great, clean and we didn’t have any faults. Then we got to the dinner. Awful and extremely slow service. Items not available on the menu and wasn’t informed until we ordered said items, not in advance. We had not been given the correct cutlery for our meals on each course. Our package included a £40pp meal allowance which didn’t get deducted from the final bill until we notified the servers and we had overheard this happening to a few other tables. There just seems to be no communication on our bookings. However the gentleman server at the dinner service was great and very helpful!Breakfast was lovely too!We would return to the spa and hotel, just not so sure on the dinner service.

Spa nice views from hydrotherapy pool and sauna. However system of 20 minutes on and off for jets in hydrotherapy pool which is annoying and also the steam went cooler when in steam room.I haven't been to a spa before when the facilities don't turn on automatically when you press a button. On a positive - individual changing rooms are lovely as is the spa lounge. The lady who showed us around was polite and friendly. We wanted a cake and coffee after our spa experience which was an expensive £90 for 2 for 2 hours and didn't feel particularly welcome so we went down the road to the Heritage Cafe.

We first visited 5 years ago and it's nowhere near the quality it used to be. We paid £550 for a spa break for my wife and I, the room we had, a suite, was large, but dirty. We found false nails on the carpet (bright pink, literally in the middle of the floor, easy to spot for the cleaners), hair clips strewn around the room on the floor and sideboards and a champagne Cork. For the money, I expect attention to detail and this just isn't good enough. There were toothpaste stains down the side of the bath and the door to the toilet only slid half way, getting stuck in the middle. The spa is also not what it used to be. For its reputation, I expected a repeat of our prior visit. This time though, the spa is now on a timer system, so you can't just press a button to turn on the bubbles etc... but instead have to wait for a period of time for it to turn on by itself. Again, at £550 for the package, I expect to be able to use the buttons by the facilities to turn them on when I want them, not to have to wait around for them to turn on.The food was OK, a decent pub standard, but nothing more than that.It was our second visit, and I doubt we'll be back again. When I raised these issues when we were checking out, I was told the hotel were sorry for those little things" - not a great response. If you're looking for a spa weekend

Went for a spa day with the Mrs. This place looked amazing, the staff were really friendly. We had the 'taste of spa' service which included an afternoon tea or light lunch which by the way was halal which is a defo plus point. Now the reason it's not getting a 5 star is because I felt it was too crowded. I was hoping for more of a private affair with the acceptance of maybe 1 or two more couples but there were another 9 people present. Granted there were different kinds of services to keep us busy, steam room etc..but when it came to just relaxing there were only 4 beds. Other than that amazing views 5 star service just a great atmosphere would recommend if you can get a more intimate affair.

My Daughters Wedding...After a very slight bumpy start during the booking and leading up to the event, due to a change over of management and wedding team, I cannot praise Victoria the GM, Sharon and Megan enough. My daughter truly had the greatest day.The whole event was dressed and decorated by Cube and looked fantastic. The wedding breakfast food, drinks and service was great. Then a super quick turnaround for a fabulous evening wedding party. The suites and rooms in the Manor House and Woodlands were lovely. Victoria, Sharon & Megan at Stanley House really did go the extra mile to make it the best ever day for my Daughter. Thank you

This was an incredible 1st time ( and not lasting time) experience dining with friend, who I have not seen for sometime. Everything was just perfect I couldn’t have asked for anymore, from the welcoming experience with Gareth meet and greet , and Polly and her amazing recommendations. , “Fish pie what can I say touched my taste buds to another level” , then the Crème’ brûlée most favourite dessert of all - Food timings you had spot on, I did not want to leave - next visit a stay over and get to use that lovely Spa. Wow, Wow , wow all the way
