I would recommend BJ McKenna Solicitors very highly. They dealt with my house sale and purchase brilliantly. Richard Schirmer (and Bernard McKenna himself) were very helpful indeed and readily available on the phone and by email (following up everything by post as necessary). I would definitely use this company again as their advice was very detailed and they provided full explanations of anything I was unsure of which was fantastic. The receptionists and accounts dept were similarly helpful too.

Wanted to update my will, due to a change in beneficiaries. I was told that I could not merely amend it, but was not advised, during a telephone conversation with the female partner, of the exorbitant cost of the revised document. If you deal with the firm, ALWAYS ask for a quote before agreeing to anything. Cannot award zero stars for her, sadly. Hopefully the other partners are more up front.

After my usual solicitor joined a central Mcr firm to do corporate stuff, I called them about conveyancing and a re-finance. The receptionist said go elsewhere, they're not interested. They may be o.k. if you can get past this hostile response. As I'm selling numerous properties soon I will go elsewhere, to a more friendly solicitor.
