They brought my dad out to his location, who is a wheelchair user. Said and arranged to be picked up for 9pm and never turned up knowing we told them we couldn’t get him home ourselves, which is why we requested the wheelchair taxi. They left him stranded! A disabled person stranded and now the phone numbers have been blocked…Disgusting company! 3 times this has happened even though they reassured us that they would come for 9pm!

Never had the need to arrange travel for a 'wheelchair ' before..but this company made it so easy. From the initial booking/tracking of taxi/details of driver and vehicle..but most of all the driver was prompt, attentive thoughtful of our needs...would absolutely recommend.

Rang Royal Cabs on Friday night (17th March) after waiting for an hour for a taxi by DG cars (who eventually cancelled the taxi after promising three times that a taxi was on its way) was told by the lady operator that someone would be with me within 5 minutes. After waiting 20 minutes, I rang back up and spoke to a male operator who said that I should never have been told that it was a 5 minute wait, but he promised he would have someone with me within 15 minutes maximum. After waiting close to an hour, I gave up and walked back to my hotel which was a 2.7 mile walk and even by the time I had walked back, I still hadn't received a text message or phone call from Royal Cabs to let me know the taxi was on its way. Nothing wrong with having to wait for a service, that's not the problem, but lying about even bothering to come and bring a taxi is the problem. A big problem. Poor service and would not use again.

Avoid at all costs. Booked a wheelchair taxi for my teenage son for a simple three mile trip. I was quoted £12 at the time of booking. Two hours before pick up I was contacted and told the price had gone up to £24 for which I reluctantly had to accept. 30 mins before pick up I was contacted again to say the price had gone up to £30. With the time being 22:15 I had no option but to accept and pay £10 per mile! £30! Absolutely disgusting. Complaint gone in to the council. Like I said, avoid at all costs.

Wheelchair taxi booked for my bed bound terminally ill father to convey him to a care home. The taxi did not arrive, and when contacted, Royal Cabs said that there would be a minimum one and a half hour delay because they didn’t have any drivers on shift before then, and that when they came on shift, school runs would take priority.

I booked a taxi for a wheelchair to take my 93 year old father to a nearby park. The taxi arrived 25 minutes late without anyone contacting me by text to inform me, so I called the office myself and also re-arranged the pick up time for the return journey. The return pick up never happened. I called the office 3 times to ask when the taxi would arrive and was given the answer that it would be as soon as possible, I was in a queue, and that there could be a longer waiting time for specialised wheelchair transport. After 50 minutes I gave up and got my father back to the care home another way. So don't rely on this company for wheelchair transport I'd say.

Pre-ordered a wheelchair taxi which never arrived despite being told it was on the way, finally told there were no cars available stranding my wife in Nottingham.Useless liars.

Nice taxi gets you to where you need to get to. Helpful. The only downside is they have no concept of time . You book for 13:00 they come at 13:30 so on. The drives especially at Westbridgford trentbridge need to get a clock so they know the time. Many times I’ve needed to be somewhere with clients and they are either late or come at their own time . No apology or explanation to why. For me tht just isn’t good enough but! For wheelchairs and old people they are good.

Booked a taxi in advance wheel chair taxi, DID NOT SHOW UP. This service is the worst. The second time it has occurred. No apologies, nothing. Only problem is, this is the only wheelchair book able taxi in Nottingham. There is no choice. Awful what they do to people who need assistance -10 stars!
