The Granville

The hotel is fine, but the high prices do not justify the experience. It’s clean, but very noisy due to the road. The staff starts to set up the outdoor seating at 7 am each morning (Including Sunday) which makes a lot of noise. Kitchen staff plays music at 7 am. You can also easily hear your neighbors and wood creaks everywhere.No shelfs or coat hooks. Most of my stuff is on the floor. Bed is hard and springy, very uncomfortable.

Very good experience. Fairly cheap room, amazing bay window view of the seafront with a very modern bathroom with a jacuzzi bath. Good linen, room was in good condition and there were no funky smells. Very well equipped with little things too. Smokey’s restaurant was okay, staff were friendly but the menu is a bit unorganised and the food... let’s say gave me mild bowel movements. Overall good experience though.

I would describe this as an overpriced B & B. I guess the cost is due to the location as it is very close to the beach, theatre and shops. The pictures on the website are deceptive!! The room was clean, but could do with a bit of decorating to brighten it up. The website said that toiletries were provided, but there was only shower gel. you could purchase forgotten" toiletries at reception

We had the most pleasant stay at Granville, the view was amazing, the staff was friendly and helpful. About the rooms, the one in which we stayed was interesting, called Prince Regent, was clean, the bathroom was super clean, towels changed every day, sheets in super condition. The design of the room has some character. The windows are a little old but with that view and that price nothing matters. We also enjoyed the breakfast, plenty of good food and a lage cup of coffee.

Superb little hotel on the seafront, nice welcome from the staff. Stayed in the balcony room which has great views of the I360, Beach and Ocean. All members of staff at the hotel and Smokey Joe's made the stay a happy and enjoyable one , will be back

Themed rooms with either a beautiful view on the seaside or on the (run-down) backyard. Breakfast is very good compared to standard hotel ones.Interiors could use a bit of renovation but you can live with that, what needs to be changed ASAP for me are the door locks: key for one room also opens other ones!

After reading the reviews I booked a room which was clean, cosy and comfortable. Great breakfast! Not so great.... .not having a hot chocolate with soya as I would have to pay extra. This needs to be reviewed especially for customers like me who can't drink dairy for medical reasons.

My Husband and I had a reservation for last Friday until Monday but unfortunately due to the snow we couldn't make it so we travelled up on the Saturday. When we arrived at the hotel and explained our predicament they kindly arranged for us to stay Monday evening for free to make sure that we fulfilled our three nights. Our room was amazing, spacious and sea views in abundance. Breakfast was excellent the choice was plentiful and the waiting staff was helpful, polite nothing was too much trouble. Finally but most importantly we would like to thank for their help noting that nothing was too much trouble in no particular order Katie, Justin and Steve thank you thank you thank you. We hope to book with you again shortly.

Had a lovely time, hotel is very nice. Great food and felt very welcomed. Only one small thing was that after a long day we came back to the hotel after dinner and drinks to watch the end of the women’s football to find there was no BBC and the WiFi was not strong enough to load anything. I know this is just a small thing but would have been nice. Other than that, lovely!

Stayed here so many times, in the last 20 years, staff are really friendly and very helpful, rooms are very clean and a good size,. Also good range of larger in the bar and the food is always amazing. I will be back again soon.
