I wish I could give a higher score, we had the most amazing time! We were lucky enough to be there during the week they were trialling their new cocktail range as a flight and they were so amazing! A few standouts were the wagu beef old fashion (honestly give it a try it’s an amazing savoury cocktail that’s rich and creamy) and the blackberry blitz was so fresh and delicious!They food was incredibly delicious- we loved it all, so well thought out and well paced as well, and the wine pairing were just incredible!The staff were so amazing, with special mentions you the lovely bartender who had such passion for the cocktails, and our lovely waitress who we chatted with about wine and wine making!

Amazing food & lovely atmosphere. We had the 6 course taster menu, which I actually regretted by course 5 as I was completely stuffed! So much care obviously put into each dish and knowledgeable staff. Will definitely return.

Frosty ReceptionWe headed to The Walrus for a pre-birthday treat for my wife at the end of November and although we received a warm welcome from the staff, the place was absolutely freezing cold. Service was attentive but when my wife asked for her coat back, we were told that they would put the heating on. That never materialised. I asked for a coffee mid-way through the meal to warm me up which was duly added to the bill. Good food simply cannot be enjoyed in such an atmosphere, and it absolutely ruined our celebrations.

Good restaurant and it’s great value. Small menu but all the better for it. Cooking was accomplished and service good and friendly from a young team. Wines are excellent. It’s well worth a visit if you’re in town.

We had a wonderful evening at the walrus restaurant and bar. I can totally recommend the tasting menu. It is a lovely place with delicious food and drinks, excellent service and a great atmosphere!

Just fantastic food. We had the tasting menu with wine flight and it was all delicious. Some really interesting wine pairings that you wouldn't think to make yourself, but all complemented the food very well.The 6 courses went well together, and the portion sizes were perfect. The white port Manhattan was a great way to start the meal as well.Overall a really great dining experience. Definitely one to try and get a table at if you can!

The Walrus Restaurant and Bar
An excellent place for fine dining as much as for great cocktails.The Walrus is a pretty stylish restaurant run by two young chefs with lots of dedication and passion for good food.I can highly recommend the 6 course tasting menu. Food and service were fabulous. We had a great evening and would love to visit again.
