Awesome spot for a filling meal. I got the Birria Quesadilla and Mexican rice and it was AMAZING! Could not recommend this place more.

Delicious Margaritas. The best I have had in Glasgow. Birria Beef tacos were delicious too. Service was not great. Started off well staff welcoming and took order really quickly and food came quickly too. However We sat with no drinks and dirty plates in front of us for 15 minutes. No one asked us how the food was either. I had to catch someone’s attention to get the bill (plates still sitting). Some of our dishes were cold and no cheese on the nachos. There may have been a cheese sauce but the menu doesn’t say that’s what it should have been.It was my daughters 18th birthday so it was a bit of a shame as we were so looking forward to it.

Had a lovely birthday lunch and the staff were able to accommodate. Lovely on all fronts. One thing to improve, get a coffee machine for those non drinkers who are having a meal

Great food and cocktails! There are often live performers, which is really cool, but if you are there to catch up with a friend then it can be very loud. We were on a table at the other side of the restaurant, but still struggled to hear each other at some points!

The food here was spectacular. Had fish tacos, chicken tacos and a plate of nachos. Got the impression of it being a young and trendy place so I felt a bit out of place. But I still likes the place a lot.

Came for dinner, food was all great! Got the cauliflower tacos & nachos which were delicious. Nice frozen margs. One of the best Mexicans in Glasgow. Really nice ambience and service was friendly. Very busy even on a Wednesday though so book ahead!

Food was nice enough. Quirky decor inside. Service was good. I found the corn ribs to be a little on the bland side despite there being tomatoes and a sauce dripped around them. Fish tacos were tasty, pretty wet though, might have been the shredded cabbage? Not a great amount of fish in it, mostly veg. Guacamole was chunky! Tasted nice. Overall I was satisfied but not wowed!

What could be said about El Jeffe?Food is good, overall a good 7 but never been to Mexico, however for Finnieston is a good place to hang out to. Dishes are decently portioned so one to two per person should be enough. The service very propitious, polite and helpful. The drinks menu is good and various with an upside down bottle of corona drink promo. Music is on the eclectic and loudish side, so more of a bar than a restaurant (your grandma might complain the volume) but hey ho. Regarding the ambience I can tell is good, industrial with a touch of Mexican rustic but not exaggerated, however if I can ask a question, why the loofahs at the bar?

Visited for the Sunday roast with my partner and everything was absolutely amazing. We had the Chateaubriand which we had cooked medium rare and it was delicious, so flavourful and cooked to perfection. The portions were massive, huge pile of roast potatoes, loads of veggies and 2 big home made Yorkshire puddings, plus the gravy was to die for. Their own lager washed it down well and the service was quick and friendly despite the place being pretty busy while we were there. There was even the delightful surprise of some live music which added to the already great atmosphere. Would definitely return and recommend to friends and family. Thanks for a great Sunday lunch!
