Southgate SG Tattoo & Piercing Studio

I was here for the first time. Southgate tattoo salon is amazing. My tattoo turned out incredible, thanks to the tattoo master Vas Bilac. All the staff is very friendly. Have seen the work of some other artists who did an amazing job too. I can highly recommend this tattoo salon if you are looking for great artists, great work and an amazing atmosphere.

Highly recommend. Super flexible, friendly environment, and easy in and out! Booked appt same day and they were reliable and flexible with communication. When I got there the place was super clean and I felt taken care of! Love both of my piercings! Thanks!

The staff here are by far the best I've come across. Had a large piece done a few years back (still my fave piece), but I called up last minute and managed to squeeze me in. It was a very special piece and was treated as such with much respect and I'm extremely grateful. All the staff are lovely and don't make terrible small talk (actually have great craic!) .... they're all so thoughtful. Keep up the great work!

Really happy with my piercings from this studio. Staff are friendly and the shop is clean and modern. Went in to get 3 lobe piercings redone and one new 3rd hole in my right lobe. Bamela was super professional, and performed the procedure effortlessly and painlessly. She also took the time to explain the detailed healing process to me. Would highly recommend this studio. Great first ear piercing experience for my 10 year old; lovely staff, super clean place and very friendly professional piercer in Bamela; she was great and made sure we had all the information we needed. I ended up getting my ears re-pierced too! Definitely 5 stars!

Popped in for a simple lobe piercing and 7 days later I’ve taken them both out.Unfortunately even though the position was measured and marked, the piercings were not placed equally and I didn’t notice while at the shop. One was noticeably off-placement (left), and the one that was in the correct position at least was not inserted straight— it was at an angle at the back.The piercing set up also, I would say, is not ideal— it’s just at the back of the shop, not curtained off or anything so any of the other people working there can be about and chatting with the piercer while they’re about to stick you with a needle.The only reason I’m not giving 1 star is because I reached out to them and they did give me a refund, so at least there is that.EDIT to reply: changing this to 1 star because, okay?? I acknowledged that they were measured and marked and I agreed to that. But the piercer then doing it WRONG is out of my hands, isn’t it? What does my agreement matter when it’s done wrong??And I’m not unreasonable, when I noticed the first one I accepted that it could be an honest mistake, it was visibly off-position and bothered me so I contacted you politely and you offered to re-do it. Great, no problem there!And then once the swelling went down on the one I had kept, I quickly realised that the bar was wonky.After that, why would I want to come back after several weeks of healing for you guys to possibly mess it up again?? You offered a refund which, again— great! Best result I could hope for!As for the studio, yes I could see that it was open plan but I certainly didn’t imagine that there would be two different people coming up to chat about their chains and weddings with the person holding a needle inches away from my face, literally WHILE they are trying to put a sharp bit of metal through my flesh???It’s unprofessional! Maybe I hold some blame there for not saying anything, but that doesn’t change the fact that I don’t think other people in the shop should be distracting the person performing a piercing!I was very careful to word the review as politely as possible and give the benefit of the doubt, but COME ON!!

Smooth and comforting - my first piercing she made me feel very at ease. Came out with symmetrical piercing! Will definitely be coming back
