Clean and well spaced. Good roof terrace. Food was ok, nothing to complain about but nothing special either. £6.50 for cod, £2.50 for regular chips, £1.50 for a side (curry, mushy peas). Run of the mill beer was £4.99 (but local real ale at least), all a bit on the expensive side for what you get, not massive portions. Lovely view from roof though. Terrace is accessed through the shop.

Food was quality, not greasy like a lot of high volume fish and chip places, staff were efficient and pleasant. Portion sizes were good and view is excellent. Reg’s fish and chips rounded off a lovely day at the beach.

Fish and chips were so good. I have to say these were the best chips specifically from a fish and chip shop I’ve ever had and I stand by it. Fish was great too with a great crunchy batter. The thing I loved the most was being able to add salt and vinegar myself. The curry sauce was also very good as they are usually too salty but this one was just how I like it, wish the portion was bigger. And fish and chips always tastes better with a view. Make sure to get ice cream and donuts next door after.

I don’t know if we just went on a bad day as it was out of season and grey skies with a lot of stands closed (1st October) but we were extremely disappointed. A group of 4 of us had spent the weekend in Heacham and looked forward to some lovely seaside fish and chips before driving home as they are always the best. However, we were met with TINY portion sizes of dry stale chips, dry fish with soggy batter, a tiny battered sausage that only comes in one size and an over cooked dark brown fish cake. We are always prepared to pay more for fish and chips at the seaside but this was a shameful waste of our money. Per couple we spent nearly £30 and ended up going to Tesco to buy snacks for the drive home because we were all unsatisfied. We live in the midlands and we can get much nicer, better quality fish and chips around the corner from our homes than this place and a large chips would be enough for a family of 4, whereas here a large is enough for one, maybe 2 at a stretch. In fact, my partner ordered a regular chips and after seeing his tiny portion my brother ordered a large instead and he maybe got a couple more chips because it was very hard to tell the difference. He actually thought they had misheard him and gave him a regular and when he questioned it they said it’s definitely a large but just looked less in a bag (this was not the case when we all sat down and opened the bags up). In fact, as we were sat eating we overheard multiple customers question the portion sizes with one man actually asking for another scoop of chips because he was not walking away with such a little amount for the price he paid. Previously we have eaten at the fish and chip van further down and these were lovely AND cheaper (unfortunately it was closed). We discussed if maybe they had to ration the chips because they didn’t have the staff to keep up with demand due to being the only place open but who knows. Either way, we Will absolutely NOT be visiting here again, hopefully the van further down will be open next time. Or else we’ll just have to drive to Wells or Cromer where we know we will get the quality we expect. Sorry I don’t usually leave bad reviews but we just couldn’t believe the disappointment. It would be such a shame for a tourist from abroad to think that this is the fish and chips we pride ourselves on, because it is not.

Chips were nice but the fish was very disappointing, my guess as a chef is that it's frozen defrosted fish battered and deep fried after defrosting. Fish was very dry, thin and not flaky like you'd normally expect I think it was probably a combination of frozen fish then kept in the hot cabinet for too long that led to it being more like a biscuit than a fish fillet. I wouldn't recommend eating here if you want a nice piece of fish, if you want chips that's fine but overall and considering the high price it was pretty disappointing, I'll eat somewhere different in the future.

Honestly I'd try somewhere else. I ordered 4 regular chips, £2.50 each, each came in a small bag with a handful of chips. Basically a cone of chips for £2.50!

Just as I expected. Seaside fish and chips are always the best fish and chips. And we weren't disappointed. Perfectly cooked chips, crispy batter on the fish. Very friendly service from excellent staff & I was able to gain access with my mobility stroller. Definitely will eat from there again next visit.Thankyou ❤️
