A great place! Staff are always very friendly; it’s a wonderfully inclusive space; lots of activities, including the Yarn Geeks group, where you can do crafts and have a chat; and good food and drinks. The tea selection is enormous and they do amazing vegan (and not vegan) milkshakes.

A very friendly and welcoming cafe, with a small selection of TCG and Warhammer etc. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, I had a great chat about MTG with one member of staff. I would give this place 5 stars if the product selection was a little bit bigger.

It was quiet when we visited. Lovely music (not too loud).friendly welcoming staff. Had a very filling bacon and bacon bagel. Impressed with the camomile infusion with actual loose camomile flowers. We willgo back for some games

Really good fun for the hour or so we were there, damn road closures though hahaBought som MTG stuff, really good priced.The lady on shift was an absolute delight :)

Always a fantastic and welcoming place. Staff are friendly and helpful. They are a fully supportive and welcoming bunch of people. Geek Retreat is a place I frequently visit and it will always hold a place in my heart

Great place for roleplaying games. Welcoming atmosphere and lovely staff. Neurodiversity amongst both staff and customers makes me feel very at home here. Try the peppermint tea!

I’ve been meaning to make a review for some time now. I go here at least once a week to check out any new cards they have to offer, the staff are super friendly and welcoming which is great if you’re new and a little nervous to ask for help. The atmosphere inside is nice too, you can socialise and make new friends or; if you wish you can sit by yourself and take in all the epic nerd stuff (I’m not good with words). The people who go to geek retreat are also really nice and I’ve spoken and played with a few strangers. Would highly recommend here to anyone interested in what it has to offer

Spent a couple hours here and had so much fun with their collection of boardgames. Great atmosphere and the most thoughtful toilets I’ve seen in any establishment.Overall, makes me wish I lived in Harrogate. A great addition to the city.

We love this place and can't wait for the renovation to finish up. The crew(staff) are friendly, helpful, and our girls always have a blast. We also enjoy a variety of card games (Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh) and family board games. If you need assistance from the staff with how the game works they are always happy and eager to help you. We also love Jaffa the Hut and Dr Bad Boon from the menu. They have Nintendo consoles - wii and Switch with games to help you unwind from hustle and bustle.
