Martin and Sheila were very professional but also very caring. We even had our little laughs which made things easier. Martin new Chris from working at BSC and promised to look after him as I believe he did. The service and choice of Humanist celebrant was just right. Martin’s presence was just right and Hannah gave us a lovely service focusing on Chris’s pre retirement life but also mentioning his post retirement. I be very happy to recommend TW Birks to anyone

Thank you so much for taking care of my mum's funeral. There was no getting away from the sadness of the day, but I was really impressed by the professionalism, attention to detail and creativity that Joy brought to the occasion.

I can not recommend T W Birks & Son in Deepcar enough. Martin made everything so easy and guided us through the process with sensitivity and kindness. He went above and beyond to help us to ensure the funeral and the delivery of the ashes happened in a timely manner as my sister had to return to New Zealand. A solid 5 stars!!

I cannot praise this professional, respectful family of funeral directors enough. Throughout our ordeal they have been calming, respectful and helpful with all the things that need to be done when you loose a loved one. Our Dad passed away on the 21st August and after the doctor had been and gone, I called Birks. Even at 9.45pm at night, they were pleasant, helpful and calming. They came for my Dad within half on hour of me making the call. When they arrived to take Dad to the chapel of rest, they respectfully stood back whilst we all said goodbye to our Dad and then calmly and respectfully laid my Dad down and treat him with such dignity and respect. On the day of the funeral, the 5th September, I could not believe how smart and respectful they looked and the car was beautiful. When they took Dad into the crematorium, they even bowed in respect to him, which brought a massive tear to my eye.Thank you so much all the staff at Birks for everything you have done for us to help us through this traumatic, sad time.
