Good shop and plenty of stock but price match promise is a little misunderstood as I was told it only applies if a profit can be made. Therefore if the likes of angling direct do a product cheaper they will not price match unless it makes a profit. I get it, I really do but just lose the price promise!No need for it really as it’s easy to ask if you can ask without and get a no rather than a false promise.

Well stocked shop, always worth a visit

Great shop with such a choice whether carp, match or sea, stock levels always good for most bits and very friendly knowledgeable staff.Fresh bait always available but ordering recommended in advance.Predator anglers also well catered for especially during winter when deadbait stock is regularly replenished.This is an honest unbiased opinion of a shop I once worked in for many years but now use regularly as my local shop.

I like Birds because the owers and staff speak politely to me, they are courteous and very helpful indeed. I think that Birds is old school and they appreciate their customers. They actually put prices on their products which is very helpful as I have a limited budget and would not wish to embarrass them or myself when I got to the counter to pay. The assortment of garden products out the front of the shop is very good indeed. I did have my heart set on one of their concrete benches for my front garden but sadly the one I had my eye on had been sold and I did not have enough to get one of the other two benches as they are cash only at present. 10/10 for Birds being the best Fishing shop in East Anglia.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. If they don't have what you are looking for they will order it in. An amazing selection of air rifles at very reasonable prices. They have worked very hard throughout the pandemic and put sensible protections in place to allow them to stay open for which I am very greatful. KG

Excellent customer service and a great range of products. Top notch with covid measures too, shows they actually care about their customers so good on them. If you don't want to go in without a mask you can order online. Excellent company.
