I’ve just had my hair cut by the lovely trainee Sophie! She was so lovely and professional! Normally i avoid going to get my hair cut because of the forced awkward conversations however sophie was very relaxed and made the whole process very comfortable and enjoyable. She brought me a cup of tea and we chatted the whole time and made me feel very welcome. For a trainee i was very surprised at how professional she was and she cut my hair lovely! Lovely salon ans very welcoming staff! I will definitely come again and book with her!!!

Emily is my usual stylist for cut and blow-dry and Becca for colour but the whole team are great. Always a happy, genuine, relaxed and friendly place to visit. I have been visiting consistently for approx. 7 years and wouldn't consider anywhere else ❤️

Tony doing another 100000/10 on my hair colour, he is absolutely just THE best! Nicest guy and so attentive as well. Best colour I've ever had done thanks to him ❤️

Been here a couple of times but my last visit left me in tears! My hairdresser was so negligible that they forgot about me in the salon and left my foils on for too long, and turned my highlights platinum. They blamed it on the lighting in the salon for not noticing! Had to return to try and tone it down but it's not made a difference. Now I am having to go elsewhere to fix it, as I would never trust them with my hair again. I don't have a lot of money or free time to fix this, it's just so upsetting.

Very disappointed. I was a new customer and had my hair cut at the Bicester salon once. Following that my next two appointments were cancelled by them. I’d blocked booked as I like my hair cut every four weeks. When I called to reschedule clearly nobody was particularly interested which isn’t a great when starting a relationship with who would have been a regular customer. This seems to be a trend in Bicester so now I’m back to square one. On the strength of this I wouldn’t recommend Idlewild.Sarah Roberts

I’ve had my highlights done a few times by Becca. Having had highlights on-and-off for over 20 years at various salons I can honestly say I’ve never been as happy with the result as I have been with Becca at Idlewild. She personalises the colour depending on what will work best for your hair rather than just placing foils in ‘text book’ way so you really get the best result for your style. It looks so natural. She has excellent knowledge of colour. 100% recommend.

Had my hair done by pretty much every member of staff, but Mark & Becca are amazing. I recently had my hair done by Becca and I had balayage, she was really attentive, I felt completely at ease and relaxed with her and will always be using Becca from now on!! I love my new hair, Thank you Becca!!

This place is fantastic! I have very thick hair and I am always nervous of trying new places. I was impressed from minute one. From the way they answered my call and booked my appointment. Not rushing me and taking the time to listen to my needs. The wonderful products and gorgeous cut. Emily did an incredible job! Would highly recommend this salon! Bicester is lucky to have it!Also what impressed me the most is that they understood thick hair needs more time. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve told a salon in other areas I need a longer appointment and they said it will be fine. Only to leave me feeling rushed and sometimes without even finishing drying my hair. Idlewild took the time to do everything properly. Even taking the time to have Mark give me a consult on my colour.

Excellent re-style, thanks to Becca. She perfectly understood what I wanted, and was a pleasure to chat with. Great result!
