100% Recommend! Dinner is available for non-residents and we were lucky enough to arrive on a night when we could get in without reservations. (Suggest calling ahead for reservations.) The food was spectacular! One of the best meals during our 2 week tour of the Highlands. We had a whipped crowdie and sundried tomato starter and the venison sausage special and the beef main. ALL were outstanding! Couldn’t resist… honey crème brûlée and elderflower pannacotta with peaches and vanilla shortbread (a special that night) to finish. At this point we knew whatever we ordered would be amazing; it was! The service was welcoming, friendly and made us feel right at home - starting with the phone call hoping to get a spot for dinner and ending with a smile despite the busy dining room around the 7pm rush. Excellent gin and whisky selection (full bar), too. Please stop by this little gem!

5 stars for the food too. Nice Lodge on the edge of the Loch. 1 hour or so on the coach from Fort William.Rooms were comfortable and very clean.Evening meal was excellent. I had a starter of ' hen of the woods' ( foraged mushroom) which was delicious. Breakfast was fine.

Wonderful rooms with a lovely view. Had dinner in the pub and was frankly shocked at the quality of the food. We had been in Scotland for about a week and had eaten at a variety of places all up and down the price scale. The fish and chips were fried with a perfecton rarely seen. Light and crispy without being oily. By far the best I have had, maybe ever. We then split one of the special deserts. Caramelize honey brittle cheesecake. It was light and fluffy, and the brittle toping was beyond my ability to describe. My sister studied pastry at the Cordonblu in London, and the quality of this dessert reminded me of her work. I could not recommend the rooms or the food any more strongly.

This hotel is amazing! The beds are so comfortable and the rooms are very spacious. It is set on the beautiful Loch with a large yard to enjoy the view. The staff is so friendly and ready to see to every need. It's only and hour drive to most of Skyes biggest sights. We would totally stay again if we come back.

We came here for dinner when we were staying in the area. The food was great and the staff were very friendly. They have a lot if vegan/vegetarian options. The lodge is located in a beautiful area on the loch as well.

I had a medical episode whilst staying at the hotel - the staff without exception went well above and beyond what you would hope for and I'm very grateful for their friendliness, kindness, flexibility and help. The food was excellent, the recent refurbishment looks great, the lochside location and views are stunning, but it is the staff that make the place.

We arrived after a long day of driving, and were told that since we were not resident locals we would not be served dinner in their restaurant. There are no other restaurants within 20 minutes and the place was mostly empty. Unbelievable. The staff didn’t care and walked off. How can a place like this stay in business as an Inn?! Beware

The location next to the Loch was gorgeous. The staff in the restaurant were extremely helpful and friendly. And the food was really delicious. The reason for the mediocre rating is that the price to stay there was very expensive, yet we were given a room which hadn't been updated in about 20 years. The pictures show beautiful rooms etc but those are the modernised ones not the one we had where it sounds like you're playing the bagpipes when you switch on the ancient shower.
