Birmingham & Midland Eye Centre

I was referring to bham eye hospital after visit to specsavers Castle Vale who done a great job examining my eyes and found a very urgent problem what needed immediate attention. When arrived at City eye hospital I thought o my god. But yes it is a bit hectic and you think not organised. But what a shock for the service these people provide. You looked after me with speed and caring respect. And I truly say thank you and keep up your superb work fantastic. And that's with disputes going on.well done. Thank you Sean.

Went to the Boaters restaurant inside the eye clinic and was treated with no respect. I placed my order for items in a clear manner 3 times and each time an item was not prepared. I needed to go back and reorder items which were ordered prior. However people after me in the queue were offered service with plates...I was served food in a cardboard box. Possibly due to the ethnicity I guess since the server Jagdish seems to have a problem serving people of ethnicities this was after I noticed her serving Caucasian people with a different approach. Disappointed to see this happening at a huge hospital who serves a multicultural society and is dropping in standards with how to deal with humanity by seeing this.

(My 1st visit here was a shambles back in June) However my 2nd visit yesterday, Saturday 2nd December, is a different story. I spent 5 hours here, which culminated in some emergency treatment. The level of care and attention I received was outstanding. I can't thank them enough. Everyone I had contact with was excellent.

Excellent service. Not to busy when i arrived 9.15. Got busy during the morning . Was seen and sorted in 2n half hours. 35 mins of that time was with 2 drs.

We all know that the NHS is under extreme pressure and the Midland eye hospital is no different. I had a piece of metal embedded in my eye and needed emergency treatment to extract it. I was checked in and treated within an hour, by Edward (who is my hero). Looking around the waiting room, I can't help but think most of these visits don't look like emergencies, but I'm not a fact holder, so it's easy to comment. The staff are amazing and work non stop to help people in need. Thank you.

Just been to the Birmingham Midland eye center... went to emergency..as my eyes are in pain, all red..with headache..and eye side get week as well, they all red I have uploaded current pictures as well.... they ask me wait ..and they will see me... after waiting 1 hour the registration desk call my name ...he asked me few questions...and ther was a nurse well... she refused me that they can see me as they don't have a slot.... and said to me go home and book appointment with some other eye clinic...i am still in pain with i think internal infection...i can't believe they can see me ... ..do wast your time to come here...

Staff were so lovely and helpful and reassuring. Got the job done. No messing around. Thank you to all the hard working staff members.

Arrived at 12pm and had been told the waiting time was 4 hours. Around 20-30 people in front of us. 4 hours later everyone who was in the room with us had been seen them a new influx of people came in and yet again we’re being seen before us. Spoke to the lady at the desk and told we wasn’t priority and anyone who comes in with more priority than us will be seen before. Being in pain and being told to keep waiting you wonder why you pay your taxes to receive the same old rubbish and false pretences. Makes you feel like you’re being punished for being poorly!!

4.5 hour waiting time the sign at reception said. I had the best service from all staff, thank you all very much. I was out after 2 hours.
