Recently spent the day with my child on ward 17, all the staff were amazing and we felt really well looked after and were kept informed of everything that was going on. Great team.

Waiting for more than 2 hours for my child appointment even though we were before 20 min . Very bad experience and no one share what we need to do next.

Wow, dont know where to start. Absolutely brilliant experience here. My daughter needed surgery on her eyes, after a failed surgery at a different hospital and being referred here, the service was next to none and really put into perspective the talent the surgeons and staff really have at BCH. After a worrying morning of going into the unknown. Dr Parulekar and Dr McDermott showed compassion from the minute they came to see us for the preop chat all the way through to discharge - everything was explained clearly and all answered were asked with no hesitation. The staff in the anaesthesia room were all brilliant calmed myself and my toddlers nerves. All nurses caring for her were brilliant. Especially Maria who went above and beyond - nothing was too much!! Im so so grateful and hoping for a speedy recovery☺️

What a lovely place with genuinely welcoming staff.Situated in the worst place to drive to, but strategically a great place as it's in the very heart of the city.I arrived, a little stressed from the drive, with my family for our appointment. We arrived early and had a lovely coffee in the small Cafe just inside the entrance. The cashier was a delight. She eased our tensions and was very patient with my son who has learning difficulties. All the nursing staff and the doctor we saw were all smiling and very helpful. I overheard how understaffed they were when the nurse was on a call to the next ward. Not one nurse complained about helping us.The play coordinator, Chloe was delightful and seemed to enjoy playing with my son Marshall; trying to distract him as a team of nurses took his blood. One nurse had her finger bent backwards, but remained the picture of absolute professionalism. The waiting rooms had plenty of toys and activities to keep Marshall occupied, but as the waiting time was so short, they weren't really needed.I work for an NHS trust, I'd be happy to have any of them working with me and my team on our wards.
