Pay to save fuel, ironic and hilarious

Paid over £8 (Eight ponds) and there's no way off. How am I paying road tax for this??Mr Whelan is like Willy Wonka You're a crook

At 7 am After driving for 3 hours on my way to a job in the north east, I accidentally took the wrong turn at a fork in the road and ended up at the m6 toll, after telling the attendant that i'd made a mistake and actually just wanted to turn around I was told that it would cost me £10+ to do so, after pleading with the attendant and getting nowhere I was told to take a receipt and pay within 48 hours, I took the receipt and they opened the barrier and let me through, I continued to follow the sat nav which led me back to the m6 toll and realizing I'd made a mistake they opened the barrier and let me through no questions asked.This stretch of road is run by a ltd company, a company that only makes money by charging you money. But rather than do the right thing knowing that someone had made a mistake and just letting them turn around, you charge them £10+ for opening a barrier!Nobody needs to use this stretch of road and you certainly shouldn't have to pay for it that's why we pay road tax!Absolutely disgusting way to treat people, a bit of human decency goes a long way , you should try it sometime!

Sat nav took me on a wrong turn ..went straight in and out charging me £15 ..I pay my road tax. Awful robbers

Used contactless to pay the toll (as per the 3 previous visits in a week or so), barrier went up but couldn't get a receipt. Turns out they didn't take payment but let us through. Sent a letter out subsequently asking for the money and charging £2.50 to get my details. Have paid the lot as it's not worth wasting the time to argue over £2.50. Robbers.

Although it certainly does cut down on the amount of traffic, and the journey time, couldn't believe how expensive it was. It has gone up since I last used the toll.

Doesn't accept mobile payments from any mobile services, no Apple pay, Google pay etc. Doesn't say this when you join the carriage way, even buskers take mobile payments!!! We're in 2022 everywhere should be take mobile payments by now.
