This is our second pre Xmas stay at Diglis House. Housekeeping was excellent , the room was well suited for views of the river and reception was efficient. BUT, after an acceptable breakfast on the Friday morning of poached eggs on toast for me and beans on toast for my friend, breakfast on Saturday morning was Dire.Nothing wrong with the employees who delivered the food to our table ! Our complaint was with the amateurish chef who delivered beans in the smallest possible ramekin which barely covered half of a piece of toast . The toast itself was white in colour and was returned. I have never in all my life complained about an hotel but our bad experience could not pass without comment. The meagre serving of beans and the haphazard serving of so called toast was an insult and an indictment of kitchen staff. I drew the attention of the waitress to the poor quality of the breakfast and the meagre serving of beans and she returned the toast to the kitchen. Reception apologised but it gets the day off to a bad start. The hotel needs to learn from this because the kitchen’s poor performance compromises the overall attitude to the hotel and that is unfair on those employees who are giving of their best!!!

We decided to stay here to visit Worcester for a night out and meal. From the start the thing that stood out were the excellent staff, this was the same from the young lady and gentleman on reception through to the staff at breakfast. The hotel is in a lovely location on the river. Our room was in the original building, it was spacious and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was immense (by modern hotel standards) and very well appointed. The bed was wonderful and we had an excellent nights sleep. Everything that you would want from a hotel really. Breakfast was included and there was an excellent selection to choose from. One thing to be aware of is that we got up a bit later and the staff were a bit stretched in the busy dining room. But the food was worth a bit of a wait (the young man on reception had warned us that it got busy when they were full). The price was very reasonable and I’ve paid more to stay in much, much worse hotels.I cannot find fault with the place. We will be back.

Booked the Master Suite" for 2 nights on a beautiful June weekend. After checking in we were directed to walk through the bar and gardens to the annexe where our room was on the first floor. Eventually we found it and first impressions were it was pleasant and clean with a double and a single bedroom and a living room with gorgeous views over the River Severn. However

I visited here for an 80th birthday lunch and although the service was great and the staff were lovely, I wasn't overly impressed with the vegan food option. However, after sharing my concerns with them, I was kindly invited back for an afternoon tea experience. Once again the service was great and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. The vegan afternoon tea looked great, the scones were amazing and the tiny cakes were tasty. The sandwiches and vegan sushi had some interesting flavours in, but overall, it was a lovely experience. We had our two dogs with us and they were made to feel very welcome too. We sat out in the garden for a drink afterwards overlooking the river.

Lovely hotel in a great location by the river. Very friendly staff and a hearty breakfast, everything you want for a good stay in Worcester. The bedroom needed a little bit of TLC or update but was comfortable. Looking forward to lunch later.

We were walking the dogs along the riverbank and popped in for some much needed refreshments. The dog water barrel with plenty of bowls is a lovely touch. One that our dogs loved. The views of the river are awesome too. Service was good and we'd definitely come back.

My daughter surprised us with an afternoon tea for our 44 anniversary. My daughter arranged it with Debra whom made a fantastic Job. Food was excellent. Table was in a lovely position. Service was superb. Table decoration was second to none. Our wedding reception was held at the Diglis and we have very fond memories and it was brilliant to sit in the conservatory all the years later. A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE AT THE DIGLIS AND TO THE CHEFS WHOM MADE NICE SANDWICHES, SCONES WITH PLENTY OF CREAM, AMAZING CAKES all nicely displayed.Thank you so much.

Fab place for a drink whilst walking along the river in Worcester. The outdoor space is really good. Lots of tables to choose from. The view across the River Severn is stunning. We didn’t eat, just had a drink, but the menu looked really good, plenty of choice. The bar queue system is really good too.
