Great village pub and brilliant food. We were getting married on the Saturday so decided to go to the pub Friday evening for a meal. There was about 25 of us in total and so the pub suggested staggering the food slightly, they kept an area for those not eating first to sit and grab a drink while waiting which was great. Everyone really enjoyed their food, the service was great and the atmosphere lovely. The perfect way to start off the wedding celebrations!

Lovely meal! We both had fish pie, which was delicious then shared the apple pie. Such a friendly atmosphere too.

Great choice of drinks and food, all reasonably priced. Food was fresh and hot , great staff very attentive. All areas very clean and tidy.Highly recommended.

food is amazing, big portions, fair prices and cooked to perfection. Relaxing pub with a lovely and flowery garden.Definitely worth going back for dinner!Service a bit slow and not too friendly, but the food makes up for it!

Visited as a group, mushroom starter followed by landlord pie and treacle sponge was particularly nice.The atmosphere was great, and exactly what we were expecting for a countryside pub.

They were very busy for lunch on 1 November (which we were aware of when booking 10 days ahead!) So we agreed on 1.30. They were ready for our party of six. We ordered and service was very prompt. Some of us took advantage of the small portion" alternative for most mains. Sadly the dessert menu was depleted by the time we got to that stage. :-("
